Le Palais Art Hotel Prague Overview
You know what struck me first about Le Palais Art Hotel Prague? It’s actually tucked away on U Zvonařky street in this quiet residential area that most tourists never see – I mean, you’re about a 15-minute tram ride from Old Town Square, but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. The building itself is this gorgeous converted 19th-century palace, and when you walk through those heavy wooden doors, there’s this immediate sense of… well, stepping into someone’s really elegant private home rather than a typical hotel lobby. The art collection here isn’t just random paintings thrown on walls either – they’ve got pieces from Czech artists scattered throughout the property, and the staff actually knows the stories behind them if you ask (which I did, probably too many times).
The rooms are where this place really shines though. I stayed in one of their suites on the third floor, and the ceiling height made me feel like I was living in some period drama – those tall windows let in incredible light during the day, and you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic, which is pretty rare for a city hotel. The bathrooms have these deep soaking tubs that I definitely took advantage of after walking around Prague’s cobblestones all day. One thing that surprised me was how quiet everything was at night; I guess being off the main tourist drag has its perks. The WiFi was solid throughout the building too, which matters when you’re trying to upload photos or catch up on work.
What really sets Le Palais apart is the attention to detail that you don’t notice until you’ve been there a few days. The concierge team – and I’m talking about actual locals who grew up in Prague – gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t in any guidebook I’d seen. They pointed me toward this tiny wine bar about ten minutes’ walk away where the owner only speaks Czech but makes the best goulash in the neighborhood. The breakfast spread changes daily and includes local specialties alongside the usual international options, though honestly, the Czech pastries alone are worth waking up for. I will say the parking situation requires some planning – there’s valet service, but if you’re driving yourself, the nearby streets can get pretty crowded during peak season. Still, with an 8.8 rating and five-star service that doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious, this place manages to capture that perfect balance between luxury and authenticity that’s getting harder to find these days.

Reviews of Le Palais Art Hotel Prague
Liam from Ireland – 11 June 2024 (9/10)
The breakfast was fantastic, it was a buffet with a choice of sitting in the garden, the library or the main restaurant on the ground floor left of the main lobby. The art on the walls is fabulous. All rooms have a double rolltop bath tub, a rarity in today's world. The staff were impeccable, friendly, polite and well spoken. Room and bed is comfortable high quality, dressing gown and slippers provided. Beautiful views over Prague. It is like going back in time. Very clean and comfortable. Within easy reach of the City Centre. Better than Prague Castle.

The service of the hotel staff was awesome. The rooms are comfortable and the bed is big. The bathroom has floor heating and that was fantastic. The breakfast is good. The hotel has a underground parking. There is one tram (23) that stops almost in front of the hotel and brings you to the city center. Very recommendable.
What could be improved: When we went for breakfast in the hotel, we needed to change the clothes afterwards, since the smell there is too strong, The reason is that there is one guy cooking the omelettes and all the smoke goes to the room. The parking is expensive (but all the parkings in Prague).Rasto from Slovakia – 27 January 2025 (9/10)
