Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Prague, and the Vienna House Diplomat actually surprised me – in a good way. It’s sitting right on Evropská, which honestly doesn’t sound like much when you first hear it, but you’re basically a stone’s throw from Dejvice metro station. I mean, you can literally walk there in like three minutes, which is pretty clutch when you’re trying to get to Old Town without dealing with Prague’s… let’s call it “creative” taxi pricing.

The thing that got me about this place is how it feels sort of understated but still polished. You know what I mean? Like, the lobby isn’t trying to blow your mind with marble everywhere, but everything just works. Check-in was smooth – no weird surprises about city tax or deposits that some Prague hotels love to spring on you. The rooms are what I’d call “properly European” – not massive by American standards, but thoughtfully laid out so you’re not bumping into furniture every time you open your suitcase. And honestly, the beds are actually comfortable, which… well, let’s just say that’s not always a given at four-star spots in this city.

Here’s what really won me over though – the area around it is fantastic for actually living like a local for a few days. There’s this whole stretch of decent restaurants and cafés along Evropská that tourists never find because they’re all hunting around Wenceslas Square paying triple the price. Plus you’re close enough to Letná Park that you can do that morning jog thing if you’re into that (I’m not, but my travel companion was thrilled). The tram connections are solid too – you can hop on the 20 or 26 and be pretty much anywhere you want without the metro crowds. Parking’s available if you’re brave enough to drive in Prague, which… good luck with that. The staff seemed to know their stuff about getting around the city, and they didn’t give me that glazed look when I asked about less obvious neighborhoods to explore. Oh, and the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building – revolutionary concept, I know, but you’d be amazed how many places still struggle with this basic requirement.

  The location is great, right next to the metro and public transport is very efficient in Prague so its easy to get around. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Also great that the photos in booking.com is a true representation of the rooms. Absolutely a recommended hotel!

  The location is great. It’s not Old Town but with the metro and tram stops right outside, you can get everywhere you need to go in minutes. The breakfast was outstanding; fresh, high quality food. Homemade Bircher muesli, cooked to order omelettes, a huge selection of cereals, meats and cheeses… best breakfast I’ve had in Prague and this is my fourth visit to the city.
  The rooms were secure, comfortable and well maintained with complimentary toiletries and thick fluffy towels. WiFi was great and smart tv connectivity was a real bonus for a non-Czech speaker.
  The staff were very attentive and friendly in all my interactions with them.
  I will definitely be coming back to stay here for my next visit to Prague.

  This hotel was in a great location. Around 18 minutes taxi ride from the airport. Metro and tram lines right outside the hotel to take you into the centre, metro was a 10 minute ride. Supermarket right next door and restaurants near by.
  Bedroom was big and spacious, bathroom was nice with a bath and shower and shampoo /conditioner/ body wash all provided, a hairdryer was also there.Bed was comfortable, but would have liked another pillow instead of just the one.
  Breakfast was absolutely outstanding plenty to choose from.
  Bar and restaurant area is lovely and the food was good there also.
  Very clean hotel and very quiet at night.
  Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing really, could have done with more English channels, this is just because we had a rainy day and was in the room a little longer.

  Great location, with a numerous shops around the hotel. Tram and metro 1 minute on foot. Special thanks for their professionalism the receptionist Barbara and Tetiana, that's how everyone should be!!! Great thanks also to the cleaning ladies ( i didn't meet them but they are doing great job)! Totally recommend

  Convenient location, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms. I liked nice and stylish lobby and nice restaurant. I've enjoyed my stay and definitely want to come back.
