TurnKey I Elegant Studio by National Museum

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to TurnKey I Elegant Studio by National Museum, you immediately get that “this is going to be good” feeling. The building sits on Španělská street in what’s honestly one of Prague’s most coveted neighborhoods — and I mean that literally, since this spot scored a 9.2 for location. The entrance has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream tourist trap, which I really appreciated. You know what struck me most? How quiet it felt despite being so central to everything.

The Perfect Prague Base

This four-star property landed in what locals call the golden zone of Prague — you’re basically a stone’s throw from the National Museum (hence the name), and Wenceslas Square is right there when you want to dive into the city’s energy. But here’s the thing that most hotels in this area can’t offer: parking that’s actually private and on-site. I’ve stayed in Prague enough times to know that’s worth its weight in gold, especially if you’re driving in from other parts of Europe. The tram connections are fantastic too, though honestly, you’ll probably end up walking everywhere because the location is just that good.

The Studio Space

The room itself — well, it’s technically a studio — feels much more spacious than you’d expect from the photos. There’s this clever layout that makes the space flow naturally from sleeping area to a proper sitting spot, and the kitchenette is actually functional (not just decorative like some places). The design leans modern but not cold, with touches that feel distinctly Czech without being kitschy. Large windows let in tons of natural light, and the view gives you a real slice of Prague life rather than just another tourist perspective.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here have this lovely rhythm — you can grab coffee from the little place downstairs or make your own with the decent equipment they provide. The neighborhood wakes up gently, which means you’re not dealing with party noise but you’re also not stuck in some sterile business district. I actually found myself spending more time just hanging around the area than I planned, partly because there’s this great little restaurant about two blocks away that serves incredible goulash, and partly because the whole district has this lived-in authenticity that’s getting harder to find in central Prague.

Why Guests Love It

That 8.8 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s the kind of place that gets the details right without making a big show of it. Couples especially seem to click with this spot, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about having your own little Prague pied-à-terre rather than just another hotel room. The combination of that killer location score, the private parking (seriously, this cannot be overstated), and the studio setup that actually gives you space to breathe creates this sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in Prague rather than just visiting it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it nails what most travelers actually want: comfort, location, and that feeling like you’ve discovered something good.

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious apartment located near the train station.

It was spacious, with Heated floors that was located minutes (walking) from the train station. It was nicely stocked with kitchen items that would be useful for anyone. Self check-in was easy. (just be aware if you are arriving at night as we did, you can’t discern the green colour of the building; so, look for the building number). The staff were also very responsive to questions and provided local suggestions.

What could be improved: We are walkers, but you should be prepared to walk 20-30 minutes to hook up with traditional Old Town Tours. (We loved the walk and it is enjoyable, but you should be aware of this).
