Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about this place? I was expecting some generic apartment rental, but walking into Trendy Local Apartment on Korunovační Street actually feels like stepping into someone’s carefully curated home – if that someone happens to have impeccable taste and really knows Prague.
The building itself tells a story, honestly. It’s one of those completely renovated historical gems tucked into Vinohrady (though the address says 170 00, which is technically Holešovice – don’t let that confuse you, the neighborhood vibes are definitely more residential-chic than industrial). The reconstruction work is… well, it’s the kind of job where someone clearly cared about preserving the character while making everything actually functional. High ceilings, original details where they matter, but you’ve got proper heating and hot water pressure that doesn’t quit halfway through your shower. I mean, anyone who’s stayed in “charming” European apartments knows that’s not always a given.
What I really appreciate is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between local authenticity and tourist comfort. The furnishings feel intentional – not like they grabbed whatever was cheapest at IKEA, but not so precious that you’re afraid to actually live in the space for a few days. And the location, honestly, is one of those insider picks. You’re close enough to walk to the major sights (Wenceslas Square is maybe 20 minutes on foot), but you’re staying where actual Praguers live and work. There’s a fantastic little bakery about two blocks down that does these incredible koláče – the kind of place that has a line of locals every morning but no tour groups. The tram connections are solid too, which matters because while Prague’s center is walkable, your feet will thank you for knowing the public transport options.
I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and the neighborhood had this perfect quiet-but-alive energy. You hear normal city sounds – trams, conversations, the occasional late-night group walking home – but nothing that kept me awake. The apartment itself sleeps surprisingly quietly for being in the city. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward; none of that “meet us at a random corner with exact change” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. They’ve got their systems figured out.
The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but for what it is – a well-designed, thoughtfully located apartment that lets you experience Prague like you actually live there for a while – it delivers exactly what you’d want. The small touches matter: good wifi that doesn’t cut out during video calls, a kitchen setup that’s actually usable if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Tesco, and honestly just the feeling that someone put thought into making this a place where you’d want to spend time, not just crash between sightseeing sessions.

The host was great. The apartment was home away from home. The location was great, good access to the centre and Letna has plenty of bars and restaurants.

The apartment was absolutely clean and tidy. The location is nearly perfect – a tram stop is nearby, the district is cozy and safe, and a bunch of restaurants, bars, and cafeterias are in short range.
Vadim, the flat owner, is very friendly and ready to help. He introduced the city to us and was always online.

You can walk to the superb National Technical Museum and trams to get to town pass at two blocks from the apartment. A fantastic park with ponds and everything is also at two blocks to the front, and another park to be crossed if going walking to town (45').
What could be improved: More kitchen utensils would be helpful, e.g. we only had two forks and no ice trays. Recycling instructions: On the corner of the block you can place cardboard, plastic and glass, but you'll need to walk up to the opposite corner (facing the stadium) to place metals (cans).Tobias from Germany – 12 May 2024 (10/10)
