St. Hubert House Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to St. Hubert House on Michalská Street, you immediately know you’ve found something special. This four-star boutique property sits right in the medieval heart of Prague‘s Old Town, and I mean literally — you’re surrounded by Gothic spires and cobblestone streets that date back centuries. The building itself has that perfectly preserved Central European charm, but what really struck me was how intimate it feels compared to the massive chain hotels you’ll find elsewhere in the city.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about Prague — location is everything, and St. Hubert House absolutely nails it. You’re a two-minute walk from the Astronomical Clock (though honestly, you’ll hear the crowds before you see them), and the Jewish Quarter is right around the corner. What I love is that you can duck into tiny wine bars and traditional pubs that most tourists never find because they’re staying out in the newer districts. The couples who stay here consistently rave about the location, and after spending time in the area, I totally get why — there’s something romantic about stepping out your door directly into Prague’s fairy-tale Old Town.

The Room Experience

I’ll be straight with you — the room sizes aren’t huge (this is a historic building after all), but they’ve maximized every inch beautifully. The beds here are genuinely exceptional, and I’m someone who usually struggles to sleep well in hotels. There’s clearly been serious thought put into the mattresses and bedding because you wake up actually refreshed. The design strikes this perfect balance between honoring the building’s history and providing modern comfort — think exposed beams paired with contemporary bathrooms and really good lighting.

What Sets It Apart

What really makes St. Hubert House work is the attention to detail. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out — they’ll send you to the best goulash spot three blocks away or tell you exactly when to visit the castle to avoid the tour groups. The building stays quiet despite being in such a central location, which honestly surprised me given how lively the streets can get. You get that authentic Prague experience without sacrificing comfort, and that’s harder to find than you’d think in a city that’s become so popular with tourists.

Why Guests Love It

The perfect rating speaks for itself, but what I noticed is how this place appeals to travelers who want to really experience Prague rather than just check it off a list. You’re staying in a building that’s part of the city’s actual fabric, not some modern hotel that could be anywhere in Europe. The combination of that unbeatable Old Town location, genuinely comfortable accommodations, and the kind of local knowledge that only comes from a property that’s truly embedded in its neighborhood — that’s what keeps people coming back and telling their friends about it.

The apartment is just stunning, with plenty of natural light, beautiful parquetry and high ceilings. Perfectly equipped with all the necessities and much, much more. Excellent, central location literally only minutes walk to Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and other main attractions. Kamila, the host, is friendly and super hospitable. It’s a 10/10 from us ❤️
