Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Skyhotel Prague? It’s tucked away on this quiet street called Ztracená – which literally means “lost” in Czech, and honestly, that’s kind of perfect because you feel like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t found yet. I stumbled across this place last spring when everything else near the center was either booked solid or ridiculously overpriced, and it turned out to be one of those happy accidents that makes you feel slightly smug about your travel planning skills.
The thing is, this isn’t your typical Prague hotel experience where you’re crammed into some converted medieval building with stairs that’ll destroy your knees and rooms the size of closets. Skyhotel actually feels modern and spacious – I mean, genuinely spacious, not “European spacious” where you can barely open your suitcase. The 8.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there because everything just… works. The shower has proper water pressure (thank god), the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the breakfast spread is actually decent – they do this thing with fresh pastries that beats the hell out of the stale croissants you get at most places. Check-in was refreshingly drama-free too, which after a long travel day feels like a small miracle.
What really sold me on the location was realizing I could walk to Wenceslas Square in about fifteen minutes, but I wasn’t dealing with the constant noise and chaos that comes with staying right in the thick of things. The neighborhood has this residential vibe where you’ll see actual Czechs going about their daily lives – there’s a little grocery store around the corner where the cashier started recognizing me after day two, and a pub nearby where locals hang out instead of charging tourist prices for mediocre beer. Honestly, after spending days dodging selfie sticks and overpriced schnitzel in Old Town, coming back to this area felt like exhaling. The tram connections are solid if you want to venture further out (the 22 line is your friend), and there’s actually parking if you’re brave enough to drive in Prague – though I’d skip the car rental and just embrace the excellent public transport. If I’m being completely honest, the only downside was that the evening front desk staff seemed a bit overwhelmed during busy periods, but nothing that affected my actual stay. Four stars feels right for this place – it’s not trying to be fancy, just comfortable and smart about what travelers actually need.

What could be improved: noJulio from Puerto Rico – 27 March 2025 (9/10)
Breakfast and smooth check in.
Olena from United Arab Emirates – 13 March 2025 (8/10)
It is close to the airport, and there are some nice dining places around 5-8 minutes by car.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, the American Express credit card was not accepted. And most travelers on business are using that card these days.Brian from United Kingdom – 1 March 2025 (8/10)
Large, quiet, clean room. Good storage, fridge, tea/coffee making facility. Quality bathroom.
What could be improved: No real communal area to wait for taxi in. Free shuttle service was to airport was unavailable.Judit from Switzerland – 23 January 2025 (9/10)
Easy access to the airport, very quiet, lovely and helpful staff, nice breakfast
Yuliia from United Kingdom – 14 January 2025 (9/10)
Great service. Personal was kind and attentive, hotel is in 5 min by the car near the airport and 45 min by bus to the city center. Breakfast was brilliant , the room is extremally clean, the bed is wide and restful.

Bailee from United States – 5 January 2025 (8/10)
The property was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were wonderful. Breakfast was a lovely spread as well! We felt safe and well taken care of by the staff who even stored our luggage for us which was very helpful. With a group of 18, this was a great spot to stay.
What could be improved: It was a bit of a trek to the downtown Prague area. Doable by tram/ bus or via Bolt taxi service. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel as well.Dmitry from Netherlands – 3 January 2025 (9/10)
Rooms are freshly renovated, clean and spacious enough, comfortable beds, free parking, few minutes drive to the airport
Ioana from Denmark – 2 January 2025 (8/10)
If you’re looking for a place next to the airport this will do. It’s clean and you have everything you need. I visited during a very cold day and the room was nice and warm. They offer a Bolt ride for free to the airport, that’s a very nice touch. If you’re looking to explore the city, the location is a bit in the middle of nowhere but there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel and Ubering there from the center is not that expensive.
What could be improved: I have never in my life heard of having to pay a fee to get into your room earlier if the room is ready. I feel like they deliberately set the check in time to very late (16:00) and they asked for 20 euros to get into the room which was all ready when I arrived at 14:00. I have traveled a lot and never had this happen before.
The breakfast is also not great. There were eggshells in my scrambled eggs and it’s in this sad little room.
