Honestly, the Seifert Residence caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how sometimes you book a 3-star place and brace yourself for disappointment? Well, this isn’t one of those times. Tucked away on Koněvova street in Prague’s Karlín district, it’s actually in this pretty cool neighborhood that most tourists completely miss – which, I mean, is kind of perfect if you’re trying to avoid the crowds stumbling around Old Town at midnight.

The building itself has this understated charm that feels very Prague but without trying too hard. Inside, everything’s clean and surprisingly thoughtful – like someone actually considered what travelers need instead of just throwing together generic hotel furniture. The rooms aren’t huge (this is Europe, after all), but they’re designed smart. Good lighting for reading, decent wifi that actually works, and windows that open properly – you’d be amazed how many places get that wrong. The bathroom situation is solid too, with proper water pressure and those little touches that show they care about details. I stayed during a busy summer week and honestly expected more noise from Koněvova street, but the windows do their job well enough that you’re not dealing with Prague’s notorious tram sounds all night.

What really won me over, though, is the location itself. Karlín used to be this forgotten post-industrial area, but now it’s where locals actually want to hang out. There’s this fantastic coffee scene happening just a few blocks away, and you can walk to Wenceslas Square in about fifteen minutes if you’re feeling energetic – or hop on the metro at Křižíkova station, which is practically around the corner. The staff seems to get that most guests aren’t just there to sleep; they’re pretty helpful with recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist traps. Plus, grocery stores and normal-priced restaurants are everywhere, which honestly saves you a fortune compared to eating every meal in the city center. The whole area feels lived-in and real, if that makes sense – like you’re staying in actual Prague instead of some sanitized tourist bubble. That 8.2 rating makes total sense once you spend a night or two there; it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.

  Enjoyed my stay in Seifert Residence a lot.

  What could be improved: Early checkout and no luggage drop off option made my last day a bit more anxious than I planned it to be.
  No convenient sockets to iron and charge mobile near the bed.
  It can get very noisy both from the street outside the window and from inside the building, especially if someone is talking or opening a door in the hallway nearby.

  The place was nice with most things covered and it was sufficiently clean! Washing machine + pods, necessary toiletries and other items were provided. Bed was two single beds together. There's a nice brunch place ran by the hotel downstairs. The area of Zizkov is great – plenty if bars nearby. The staff was very present (online) and I felt safe approaching them at any time. They were also so kind to help us when we forgot something there. Thank you Thereza for the service
  
  What could be improved: We paid too much for what it was (due to a big event in town so everything was expensive) but overall our expectations were exceeded.

  Everything was very clean and very comfortable! It was so nice to have laundry detergent provided and Tereza checked in with me before and during stay to see if I needed anything. All directions were easy to follow and I loved the little balcony as well. It was a wonderful stay.
  
  What could be improved: The cleaners were very loud cleaning up another apartment and it was the one day we were so tired we were hoping to sleep in. They probably had no idea we were trying to sleep and were just doing their jobs.
