Residence Tesnov Apartment

Capital City of Prague, Czechia

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Residence Tesnov Apartment on Těšnov street, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Prague” feeling. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Prague, and I mean actually in the center — not in some tourist bubble where everything feels sanitized. The building has that classic Central European charm, but honestly, what struck me first was how quiet the street felt despite being so central.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Prague Castle and Charles Bridge, but you’re not dealing with the chaos of Old Town Square every time you step outside. The Těšnov area has this perfect balance where locals still live and work, so you’ll find actual Czech bakeries and corner shops mixed in with the tourist stuff. I noticed couples seem to really appreciate this location (apparently they rate it 9.0, which honestly makes sense), probably because you can easily walk to romantic dinner spots without feeling like you’re fighting crowds the whole time.

The Apartment Experience

What sets this place apart is that you’re staying in an actual apartment, not just a hotel room. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen, which — let me tell you — is a game changer when you want to grab fresh bread and cheese from the local market and have breakfast without paying hotel prices. The apartments feel more like temporary homes than hotel accommodations, and there’s something really nice about having space to spread out after a day of sightseeing. The furnishings are modern but not sterile, and you get plenty of natural light during the day.

Practical Perks

One thing that surprised me was how well-equipped everything is for longer stays. The kitchenette has everything you actually need (not just a mini-fridge and hope), and there’s proper storage space for your stuff. The building itself is well-maintained, and while it doesn’t have a fancy restaurant or spa like some hotels, you honestly don’t need those when you’re this close to everything Prague has to offer. Plus, having parking available in this part of the city is actually pretty remarkable — most places in central Prague make you figure that out on your own.

Why Guests Love It

I think what really works here is that you get the independence of having your own space without sacrificing location. You’re not stuck in some apartment complex on the outskirts, but you’re also not paying premium prices for hotel services you might not even use. The 8.0 rating feels about right — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, but it delivers exactly what it promises. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having your own little Prague pied-à-terre where you can come and go as you please, maybe cook dinner together, and still be steps away from everything that makes this city special.

Good value for money in Prague

We loved the location close to the tram stop and many coffee shops.
The apartment was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

What could be improved: The kitchen inventory was incomplete and the towels need replacing.

Superb

The location is great and all amenities provided within the apartment make the stay nice and smooth.
The halls of the building were quite noisy and loud during the evening and night hours.
Good communication with providers.

Amazing location, great apartment, would definitely reccomend!

Really good location and shower was amazing!

What could be improved: Loud over night sounded like bins being taken out or someone trying to get something down the stairs. Mattress too hard but pillows comfy.
