You know what surprised me about Residence Tesnov? It’s tucked away on this quiet street that feels completely separate from Prague’s tourist chaos, but you’re literally a five-minute walk from the main train station. I mean, when I first walked up to Těšnov 15, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star apartment hotel, but honestly – this place gets it right in ways that matter.

The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Prague architecture you see everywhere in New Town, but inside it’s been updated without losing its character. The apartments are actually spacious (shocking, I know, for European standards), and each one has a proper kitchenette that’s not just for show. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit on the third floor, and the windows faced the courtyard, which meant blessed silence at night – none of that tram clanging you get on the main streets. The furniture’s modern but comfortable, not that sterile hotel stuff that looks good in photos but feels like sitting on cardboard. And they’ve got decent Wi-Fi, which honestly saved my work trip.

What really won me over was the neighborhood vibe. You’re walking distance to Wenceslas Square if you want the full tourist experience, but turn the other direction and you’re in this area where actual Praguers live and work. There’s a fantastic little bakery two blocks down on Hybernská that does these incredible koláče pastries – way better than anything you’ll find near the castle. The staff at Residence Tesnov clearly knows the area too; the guy at reception (Pavel, I think?) gave me directions to a proper Czech pub that wasn’t full of Americans taking selfies with their beer. Parking can be tricky around here – it’s mostly street parking and you’ll pay for it – but if you’re planning to use Prague’s excellent public transport anyway, who cares? The tram stop is right there, and you can get anywhere in the city center in fifteen minutes max. Check-in was smooth, no drama, and they were flexible when my flight got delayed. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but for the price point and that 8-point rating, Residence Tesnov delivers exactly what it promises: a clean, comfortable base in Prague that feels more like staying in a local apartment than a generic hotel room.

  We loved the location close to the tram stop and many coffee shops.
  The apartment was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

  Really good location and shower was amazing!
  
  What could be improved: Loud over night sounded like bins being taken out or someone trying to get something down the stairs. Mattress too hard but pillows comfy.

  Clean, mostly quiet, and cozy.
  Almost all furniture/tech is new. They even installed a dishwasher.
  Very beautiful historical building, close to the center.
  Overall – everything is ok, I can recommend.
  
  What could be improved: Not very nice that only after the reservation was made, they will inform you about mandatory deposit.
  The last moment: there wasn't a wardrobe in my apartment. Not a big thing, but it's better to be aknowledged.

  -good location, metro station is close, old town square is about 20 minutes of walk

  What could be improved: -250 euros for deposit is a bit steep, though I have to say that I got it all back in a few days
  -we chose late check in and when we arrived, the key wasn't in the box, we had to wait half an hour until somebody brought the keys
  -one night we couldn't open the door to the hallway, turns out that when it's locked, you can't open it from the inside for some reason, luckily some of our friends were outside and they were able to open it. If we were all inside, we would have been stuck at home for the whole night, as nobody answered our phone

  Excellent place to stay. Stayed with a group of lads for a cheap holiday however it exceeded expectations and could definitely be used for a family holiday as well. 5 minute walk outside of the center of the city. Facilities were great and service was brilliant. We had a late flight home and was able to store our storage at the office until we left. Highly recommend!

  Location of the property is amazing. Close to everything
  you need. The staff is good, we had a couple of issues
  but they were willing to assist and answer our needs.
  The apartment is as is on the pictures, good ratio
  of quality and price.
  
  What could be improved: We didn’t like the security deposit and felt a bit off and sketchy
  but after the stay the money was wired back so no hard feelings there.
