Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Prague hotels, and honestly? The Old Town Residence by Little King surprised me. You know what hit me first when I walked into this place on Maiselova? The lobby actually feels like someone’s well-traveled uncle’s apartment – I mean that in the best way possible. There’s this lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake, with thick stone walls that immediately muffle the tourist chatter from the street outside.
The location is pretty brilliant, actually. Maiselova is one of those narrow cobblestone streets that most people rush past on their way to the Jewish Quarter, but it’s perfect for this kind of place. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the Old Town Square – close enough that you can pop back for a nap between sightseeing, but far enough that you won’t hear drunk bachelor parties singing at 2 AM. The building itself has that authentic medieval vibe (because, well, it’s actually medieval), but they’ve done the renovations right. The rooms have modern bathrooms with proper water pressure – trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re washing off a day of walking Prague’s hills.
What really won me over was the staff’s approach to hospitality. They’re not hovering or overly formal, but they genuinely know their stuff about the city. The woman at reception told me about this tiny wine bar on Dlouhá Street that I never would’ve found otherwise, and she was spot-on about which tram to take to avoid the construction near Wenceslas Square. The rooms themselves feel substantial – thick walls, heavy curtains, the kind of quiet you need after dealing with Prague’s summer crowds. I stayed in August (probably not the smartest timing, honestly) and barely heard the street noise. The air conditioning worked without sounding like a helicopter, which is rarer than it should be in these historic buildings.
I mean, it’s not perfect – the elevator is one of those tiny European jobs that fits maybe two people and their guilt about overpacking, and the WiFi can be spotty in some rooms depending on where those ancient walls decide to block the signal. But honestly? These feel like minor quirks rather than real problems. The breakfast setup is solid without being fancy – good coffee, local pastries, and they don’t rush you out if you want to linger over maps and planning. You’re paying for that 4-star experience without the stuffiness that sometimes comes with it. After three nights here, I actually felt like I was staying somewhere with character rather than just booking a convenient bed. For Prague, especially in this neighborhood, that’s worth quite a bit.

Great location you can walk to the famous bridge in 6 mins
What could be improved: No elevator
Hair dryer was going off after using it for 5 mins. There can be a better model.

Location was good, at the tip of old town… walking a few minutes will get you into the center.
Bed was very comfortable and each person had thier own comforter.
Bathroom and room were very clean and housekeeping was excellent and accommodating.
Definitely worth the money, we stayed for 7 nights.Exceptional – Elad from Israel – 14 July 2025 (10/10)

Amazing property
What could be improved: Very clean propertyExtremely good value for money – Mckenzie from United Kingdom – 22 June 2025 (8/10)
Easy to get to. Very central for most things and there’s a metro station less than one minute walk away. building is very secure and the room was the perfect size. Very cozy and clean!
What could be improved: The shower was absolutely awful ! We seen a few comments about this before hand and it isn’t the end of the world but it has no pressure and you had to awkwardly for it to even cover you!
We couldn’t figure out how to work the lockers so had to walk 10 mins with heavy bags to the sister hotel but this could have been our fault lol!
However everything else was absolutely perfect and I highly recommend if you don’t mind having a quick wash with the water!Lovely stay in the center of old town – Aparna from Canada – 11 June 2025 (9/10)
Great location, very close to everything but on a quiet street. The room was clean, comfortable, and had simple but useful amenities (kettle, fridge, safe, etc). Check in and check out was simple
What could be improved: Good to remember that some rooms are not accessible by elevator. Wasn’t an issue for us but it is worth considering if you have a mobility limitation.Perfect location, very clean and comfortable bed. – Luisa from United Kingdom – 3 June 2025 (10/10)
Location was perfect, area was very quiet, still less than 5 minutes walk from the main square in Prague. Loved walking around everywhere, it’s a perfect city for that!
What could be improved: There were stairs to get to our room but didn’t bother us at all and I knew it already as it was very clear when we booked.I found my go-to hotel for my visits to Prague old town – Osman from Turkey – 1 June 2025 (9/10)
Extremely clean, everywhere was literally glittering.
Very close to the clock tower and charles' bridge (5 mins walk away).
Just 2 stops away from the main train station. (take the A/green line).
I might say that whenever I visit the old town, this is my go-to hotel.
Some people had some problems with checkin but it is really, very easy. Just take the elevator to the rooftop and scan your card/password. It automatically fills in the details and that's it.Great! We will come back! – Ewelina from Poland – 31 May 2025 (10/10)
Great location! Incredibly clean! From the moment I walked into LITTLE KING hallway, there was a beautiful fragrance – I’m curious to know what it is. It seemed to have some almond notes
What could be improved: The floor in the bathroom a little bit slippery but of course clean.
