You know what surprised me about NH Collection Prague? It’s tucked away on Mozartova street in Praha 5, which honestly sounds way more intimidating on paper than it actually is. I mean, when you’re booking online and see “Praha 5,” you might think you’re getting stuck in some remote district, but this spot is actually pretty clever positioning-wise.

The hotel itself has this understated elegance thing going on – it’s definitely a 4-star property, but not in that flashy, trying-too-hard way some places do. Walking into the lobby, there’s this calm, almost Nordic-inspired vibe with clean lines and muted colors that actually feels refreshing after wandering Prague’s busier tourist areas. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there because it’s one of those places that just… works. Check-in was smooth (I arrived around 2 PM on a Thursday and there was literally no line), and the staff seemed genuinely knowledgeable about the city rather than just reciting rehearsed recommendations.

Here’s the thing about the location that booking sites don’t really capture – you’re close enough to Petřín Hill that you can actually walk there in about 15 minutes, which is brilliant for morning jogs or sunset views without the Astronomical Clock crowds. The tram connections are solid too; I found myself using the nearby stops to get into Old Town pretty easily, and there’s something satisfying about feeling like you’re staying where actual Prague residents live rather than in the thick of tourist central. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality with local cafés and that one little grocery store that stays open late (trust me, you’ll appreciate this). Parking was surprisingly manageable – they have their own garage, which in Prague is basically like finding gold. The rooms are well-designed with those floor-to-ceiling windows that actually open (you’d be amazed how many hotels skimp on this), and the soundproofing is legit good. I could barely hear street noise, even on weekend nights when you’d expect things to get livelier. The beds hit that sweet spot of firm but not concrete-hard, and honestly, after walking 20,000 steps around cobblestone streets, that matters more than you think. One small critique – the bathroom lighting is a bit harsh for early morning situations, but that’s pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. What really sold me was how the place feels authentically Prague without being kitschy about it, and you get the sense that both business travelers and tourists feel equally at home there.

  I like everything about nh collection Prague. The place,staff, and breakfast. I will definitely recommend this place.

  What could be improved: Coffe machine in room was so easy to use but we spend 15 minutes to find switcher so it was really fun untill we found it after we call on reception almost midnight 😊😇

  We loved the cable car, sauna and the room. The pillows were top notch!

  Very good choice, close to city centre, practically almost immediately at the underground and many bus and tram stations (5-10min walk).
  Rooms were spacious, nice and clean. Everyone from staff was great and helpful, would 100 % recommend and revisit.
