Neklanova Apartments Overview

You know what struck me first about Neklanova Apartments? The quiet. I mean, you’re still in Prague 2 – literally walking distance from the chaos of Wenceslas Square – but this little stretch of Neklanova feels like you’ve found some secret pocket the tour groups haven’t discovered yet. The building itself is one of those solid, no-nonsense structures that screams “local living” rather than tourist trap, which honestly made me feel like I was getting a genuine slice of Prague life.

The apartments themselves are… well, they’re three-star for a reason, but not in a bad way. Think practical over fancy – you’ve got everything you actually need without the frills that jack up the price. The kitchenettes are small but functional (I managed to make coffee and heat up trdelník from the market), and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up cursing my booking decision. What I really appreciated was how clean everything felt – not that sterile hotel clean, but like someone’s grandmother had been through with proper attention to detail. The WiFi actually works too, which you’d think would be standard everywhere by now, but Prague can be hit or miss on that front.

Location-wise, this is where things get interesting. You’re about a ten-minute walk to Karlovo náměstí (Charles Square), which means you can hit the main sights without dealing with the tourist circus every time you step outside. There’s a little Vietnamese place around the corner – Pho Hanoi, I think – that serves legitimately good soup for like 150 crowns, and a Tesco Express close enough that you can grab groceries without planning an expedition. The tram connections are solid too; you can catch the 18 or 24 and be at the castle or Old Town in no time. Parking’s actually manageable if you’re driving, which is kind of a miracle in this city – though I’d still recommend just using public transport unless you enjoy testing your patience against medieval street layouts.

The 7.6 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it won’t disappoint either. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that promised more and delivered less. What you get here is straightforward, honest accommodation in a neighborhood that feels real. The kind of place where you hear actual Czech conversations in the hallway instead of guidebook English, and where the woman at the local bakery starts recognizing you after a couple days. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and turndown service, look elsewhere. But if you want a clean, quiet base for exploring Prague without paying tourist premiums, Neklanova does the job quite well.

Reviews of Neklanova Apartments

  • Superb – A from Georgia – 19 July 2025 (9/10)

The location is near 2 station. There is a Supermarket lidl. Apartment was clean, comfortable and the host was very attentive. While my stay, there occurred a problem of hot water and host immediately solved it.

What could be improved: In the shower water is clogging and needs to be fixed. Also it would be great if in the apartment there will be tea, coffe and sugar for tired travelers who come late night.

  • Superb – Giang from Finland – 10 June 2025 (9/10)

The location is quite convenient with good access to city center. The apartment is spacious.

What could be improved: Br aware that the apartment does not have lift.

  • Great place, amazing location, good price, everything works great (except an episode with the door). – Zyza from Israel – 3 September 2024 (9/10)

I really liked the location as well as the size of the apartment. it`s a big and comfortable place. The facilities worked great. there was a fridge, a microwave, a cooker and more stuff that worked with no problem.

What could be improved: The only problem I faced was the door. they use an electronic key and once the door wouldn`t open. I wrote in support but they answered only after 30 minutes or so which was very late considering the fact that I had to stand next to the door with 2 kids. Another problem with the same door was that it didn`t lock automatically well. Luckily I checked before we left and it was open. I had to pull it extra hard and only then it locked. All the rest worked great!

  • Very good – Martin from Ireland – 14 August 2024 (8/10)

    Good location,

  • I believe it was a good choice to stay at Neklanova apartment! 🙂 – Gergely from Hungary – 20 July 2024 (9/10)

The flat was clean and comfortable. I liked the location as well and the size was really awesome.

What could be improved: Internet connection should be improved. The connection got disrupted many times and the router had to be restarted. One of the two televisions was out of service.

  • Well located and equipped apartments – Edgar from Germany – 21 June 2024 (8/10)

The apartments are well located and well equipped.

What could be improved: We rented two apartments, one was in the ground floor, the other was on the 4th floor. This was not ideal, since we wanted to interact with each other.

  • Great Place If You Don’t Need A Lift – Catherine from Australia – 11 June 2024 (7/10)

    Location was good – tram stops and supermarket close by, far enough out of city to not be crowded or noisy, nice area near Vyšehrad Fort (worth a visit); room was big enough for us, clean and safe (travelling with a baby); check in was very simple and communication excellent;

What could be improved: No lift – and we were on the 4th Floor with a baby. Carrying pram and baby up stairs every time very tiring. Big job with 3 bags of luggage. Room had no washing machine and only had basic supplies – which is ok but every other apartment we have stayed at has had additional little touches (condiments, coffee, tea etc)

  • Nice place to stay but check the description before you rent it especially the number of people that are allowed to stay – Olha from Ukraine – 31 May 2024 (7/10)

The location, clean apartment, easy to check in and enter the apartment. Comfortable bed. The microwave wasn’t working but they brought new one in a few days after I arrived

What could be improved: No elevator, you should use the stairs. Not clear description about how many people are allowed inside. The operator in booking talked with me like a robot without trying to talk normally to resolve some issues.

  • Superb – Madalina from Romania – 26 March 2024 (9/10)

    Good facilities
    Large apartment
    Separated toilet from washroom
    Acces to exterior patty
Walking distance from the center (20 min)
    Restaurants and shops nearby
    Tram stop nearby

What could be improved: I got a strange message at the end of the staying, that I need to send some money more, but with no justification. I asked what is it about, but I got no answer, I didn't send since there was no reasoning, but I was neither asked to send it again. This was the only thing that was odd. All in all, this place was nice and I recommend it.

  • Superb – Harry from United Kingdom – 16 October 2023 (9/10)

Great space to use as a base when going out to explore the city. Clean and spacious place for 8 people
