The building itself has that classic Prague charm without being overly touristy, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience the city like someone who actually lives here.

Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Vinohrady, which is where young Czechs actually want to live. The tree-lined streets around Neklanova feel worlds away from the crowds at Old Town Square, but you can still reach the main sights easily. There’s this great little park nearby where you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning, and the café scene here is genuinely good (not just tourist traps). You know what really sold me on the area? The fact that there’s a proper Czech pub around the corner where the bartender doesn’t automatically switch to English when you walk in.

The Space Itself

The apartment setup works really well if you’re staying more than a couple nights. Each unit has its own kitchen, which honestly saves you a fortune when Prague restaurant prices start adding up. The room I stayed in was larger than expected — not huge, but you can actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with the furniture. The décor is simple and clean, maybe a bit basic, but everything functions properly and the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the space.

Getting Around

The metro connection here is what makes this location work so well. Náměstí Míru station is about a seven-minute walk, and from there you’re two stops from the city center. I actually preferred taking the tram though — line 22 runs right through the neighborhood and gives you these great views as you head toward the castle district. Parking can be tricky if you’re driving (like most of Prague), but there are some residential spots nearby if you’re patient.

What keeps people coming back to Neklanova Apartments is that sweet spot between authentic Prague living and tourist accessibility. You’re staying where actual Praguers live, shopping at the same grocery stores, grabbing coffee at the same spots — but you can still walk to Wenceslas Square in twenty minutes if you want.   The location is near 2 station. There is a Supermarket lidl. Apartment was clean, comfortable and the host was very attentive. While my stay, there occurred a problem of hot water and host immediately solved it.
  
  What could be improved: In the shower water is clogging and needs to be fixed. Also it would be great if in the apartment there will be tea, coffe and sugar for tired travelers who come late night.

  I really liked the location as well as the size of the apartment. it`s a big and comfortable place. The facilities worked great. there was a fridge, a microwave, a cooker and more stuff that worked with no problem.
  
  What could be improved: The only problem I faced was the door. they use an electronic key and once the door wouldn`t open. I wrote in support but they answered only after 30 minutes or so which was very late considering the fact that I had to stand next to the door with 2 kids. Another problem with the same door was that it didn`t lock automatically well. Luckily I checked before we left and it was open. I had to pull it extra hard and only then it locked. All the rest worked great!

  The flat was clean and comfortable. I liked the location as well and the size was really awesome.
  
  What could be improved: Internet connection should be improved. The connection got disrupted many times and the router had to be restarted. One of the two televisions was out of service.

  The apartments are well located and well equipped.
  
  What could be improved: We rented two apartments, one was in the ground floor, the other was on the 4th floor. This was not ideal, since we wanted to interact with each other.

  Location was good – tram stops and supermarket close by, far enough out of city to not be crowded or noisy, nice area near Vyšehrad Fort (worth a visit); room was big enough for us, clean and safe (travelling with a baby); check in was very simple and communication excellent;
  
  What could be improved: No lift – and we were on the 4th Floor with a baby. Carrying pram and baby up stairs every time very tiring. Big job with 3 bags of luggage. Room had no washing machine and only had basic supplies – which is ok but every other apartment we have stayed at has had additional little touches (condiments, coffee, tea etc)

  The location, clean apartment, easy to check in and enter the apartment. Comfortable bed. The microwave wasn’t working but they brought new one in a few days after I arrived
  
  What could be improved: No elevator, you should use the stairs. Not clear description about how many people are allowed inside. The operator in booking talked with me like a robot without trying to talk normally to resolve some issues.

  What could be improved: I got a strange message at the end of the staying, that I need to send some money more, but with no justification. I asked what is it about, but I got no answer, I didn't send since there was no reasoning, but I was neither asked to send it again. This was the only thing that was odd. All in all, this place was nice and I recommend it.
