Hotel Jahodnice Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Hotel Jahodnice in Prague’s Jahodnice district, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away on Bezdrevská street, which honestly feels more like a quiet residential area than where you’d typically find tourists. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly what made it special.
The thing about staying here is that you’re actually living like a local for a few days. I mean, you’re about 20 minutes by tram from Old Town Square (the 140 bus connects you pretty seamlessly), but in the mornings you’ll hear birds instead of tour groups, and there’s this little grocery store just down the street where the cashier started recognizing me by day three. The hotel itself has that solid, no-nonsense Czech vibe – clean rooms that smell faintly of that industrial-strength European cleaning solution, decent beds that don’t creek when you roll over, and bathrooms where the shower actually has proper water pressure. The staff at check-in were surprisingly chatty once they realized I spoke a bit of Czech, and they gave me this hand-drawn map showing the best tram connections into the city center.
What really won me over was the practicality of it all. Free parking right there – and if you’ve ever tried to park in central Prague, you’ll know that’s basically gold. The breakfast room overlooks this little courtyard where local kids sometimes play football in the evenings, and there’s something genuinely charming about sipping your coffee while watching normal Prague life happen outside. Sure, the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty on the third floor (I learned this the hard way during a work call), and the elevator makes this concerning grinding noise that had me taking the stairs after the first day, but these feel like minor quirks rather than real problems. The neighborhood comes alive around dinner time when people are coming home from work – you’ll hear tram bells and see locals walking their dogs along the tree-lined streets. It’s Prague, but the version that most tourists never see, and honestly, I think that’s worth something. For a solid 3-star place with a 7.9 rating, Hotel Jahodnice delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, unpretentious base where you can actually rest between Prague adventures without breaking the bank.

Reviews of Hotel Jahodnice
Very good – Jovana from Serbia – 7 May 2025 (8/10)
The room was spacious and clean, they are connected by downtown with bus and metro. Bus stop is a few hundred maters from the hotel. Easy to commuicate with stuff. Great outdoor space. Recommend.
Good – Gregor from Slovenia – 8 May 2025 (7/10)
Lokation is good, public transportation (bus) is about 300 m away. It's about 45-55 minutes to city center with bus and metro.
What could be improved: Wi-fi connection was a disaster (room 17). We were not able to see given wi-fi, so we connect to reception router. Sometimes, connection was OK, but most of the time it was disconnecting us constantly.
The room was hot during the day, but there was no air conditioning to cool it down. All we had was a fan.Good – Angelique from Netherlands – 7 May 2025 (7/10)
You got what you need, a bed, little balcony, a very nice shower and the woman behind the reception was very kind. There is also a super market close by and you can park your car in front of the hotel. The price was also very good.
What could be improved: If you want to be really fast in the city it’s a bit far away. Most of the time it’s busy on the road so it wil take +- half an hour to get thereValue for Money – Muhammad from United Kingdom – 27 January 2025 (8/10)
lady at the reception was very co-operative, though with very little command on english, location is 4-5 min walk from bus station, too far from centre, but in quite place. small room but equipped with basic amenities like kettle, mini fridge and TV with several channels (not in english 🙁 though).
What could be improved: shower needs some repair, there is no lift in the hotel,Exceptional – Abdelmajid from United Kingdom – 10 June 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: – location (far from the city center)
– aged building (require some renovation)
– didn't meet our expectations (photos didn't reflect the current situation)Location terrible, facility unbelievable bad no value for money – Milan from Serbia – 21 April 2025 (1/10)

What could be improved: Very poor hotel 1 star maximumNettes Zimmer für kleinen Preis – Maria from Germany – 9 June 2025 (9/10)
– Freundliche Mitarbeiterin
– schnelles einchecken
– sehr sauber
– für diesen Preis einfach TOP
What could be improved: Man darf natürlich kein Luxus erwarten für diesen niedrigen Preis, aber wer einfach eine Übernachtung sucht, ist hier super aufgehoben.Superb – Solovský from Czech Republic – 4 May 2025 (9/10)
