Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Residence BENE on Dlouhá Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the right place” feeling. This three-star property sits right in the thick of things in Prague‘s Old Town, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that classic Central European charm — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you’ve found a genuine local spot rather than some tourist trap.

The Heart of Old Town

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally steps away from everything that matters in Prague’s historic center. I mean, you can walk to Old Town Square in about three minutes, and the Jewish Quarter is right around the corner. What’s even better is that Dlouhá Street itself has become this cool strip with great bars and restaurant that locals actually frequent. You know how some hotel locations feel touristy? This doesn’t — it feels like you’re staying in a real neighborhood that just happens to be incredibly historic.

Your Room and Space

The room I stayed in was what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than fancy. It’s clear they’ve put effort into making the most of the space without trying to be something they’re not. The apartment-style setup works really well if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two — there’s actually space to spread out and settle in. The kitchen area is compact but functional, which comes in handy when you want to grab groceries from the local markets and have a quiet morning before hitting the sights.

Practical Perks

One thing that surprised me was the parking situation — they actually have private parking available, which is honestly a miracle in this part of Prague. If you’re driving (though I’d recommend walking or using trams), this is a huge advantage. The staff knows the area inside and out, and they’re genuinely helpful with recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots. They pointed me toward this little wine bar just two blocks away that I never would have found otherwise.

Why Guests Love It

The location score of 9.6 isn’t just a number — it really reflects how perfectly positioned this place is. Couples especially seem to appreciate being able to wander through Prague’s romantic streets and then come back to somewhere that feels like a home base rather than just a room for the night. The combination of being centrally located but on a street that doesn’t feel overwhelmingly busy strikes just the right balance. You’re close enough to everything to explore on foot, but far enough from the main tourist crowds to actually get some rest when you need it.

Exceptional

Room was big and clean, with a lot of space. Breakfast has a lot of variety of food. Juices were not good quality though. Location is perfect. We reserved a parking space and it was very well organised.

What could be improved: With so many options and variety of food for breakfast, you could offer better quality juices.
