EA Hotel Rokoko Overview
You know what caught me off guard about EA Hotel Rokoko? Walking up to this place on Wenceslas Square, I was expecting something touristy and forgettable – I mean, it’s literally right in the heart of everything. But honestly, the moment you step inside, there’s this old-world elegance that feels authentic rather than put-on. The lobby has these beautiful period details (hence the “Rokoko” name, obviously) but they’ve managed to update everything without making it feel like a theme park version of Prague.
The location is actually insane – and I don’t throw that word around lightly. You’re basically at the top of Wenceslas Square, which means you can stumble out and be at the National Museum in two minutes, or head down toward the Old Town and hit all the major spots on foot. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: being right on the square means you get some street noise, especially on weekend nights when the square gets lively. I’d definitely ask for a room facing away from Václavské náměstí if you’re a light sleeper. The staff seemed pretty understanding about this when I mentioned it – they clearly know their location’s pros and cons.
What really impressed me was how the place felt genuinely Czech rather than some international hotel chain trying to play dress-up. The breakfast room has this cozy, almost residential feel, and the staff actually seemed to know Prague well enough to give decent recommendations beyond the obvious tourist traps. One guy at the front desk steered me toward this little wine bar on Vinohrady that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are comfortable without being flashy – good beds, solid WiFi (crucial for me), and bathrooms that actually have decent water pressure, which you can’t always count on in historic Prague buildings. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but they have arrangements with nearby garages if you’re driving. Overall, it’s the kind of place that gets the basics right while giving you that authentic Prague atmosphere – you’re paying for the location and character, and honestly, at an 8.3 rating, it seems like most people think it’s worth it.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space. Excellent position for sightseeing. Staff were very helpful
What could be improved: There was not someone on reception all the time, so you do have to go a few yards down the road to the apartments where there was someone there to help.
We had tea and coffee in our rooms, but not black english breakfast tea. So, if like me that is what you want, do take some with you.Elena from Cyprus – 5 September 2024 (8/10)
