Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Cool Vitkova apartment” I rolled my eyes a little at the name, but this place actually lives up to it. The location on Vítkova street is one of those Prague gems that most tourists completely miss, which honestly works in your favor. You’re tucked away in Karlín, this formerly industrial neighborhood that’s become super hip without being obnoxious about it. I mean, you can walk to Old Town in about 20 minutes, but you’re also surrounded by some of the best local coffee shops and restaurants that Praguers actually go to.

The apartment itself has this great lived-in feel – not like someone just threw together an Airbnb and called it a day. The balcony is probably the star here, and I get why they mention it right in the name. It faces toward the city center, so you get these glimpse views of the castle and cathedral spires between the buildings. Perfect spot for morning coffee, especially in spring when the lime trees along the street start blooming. The whole area smells amazing then. Inside, everything’s pretty straightforward – good wifi (tested it extensively, obviously), decent kitchen if you want to cook, and the bed’s actually comfortable, which you know isn’t always a given with vacation rentals. The bathroom’s small but functional, though the shower pressure could be better – not terrible, just not amazing.

What I really appreciate is how the owner clearly knows the neighborhood. There’s this little folder with handwritten recommendations for places that aren’t in every guidebook. The bakery around the corner on Sokolovská does these incredible koláče that locals line up for on weekends, and there’s a wine bar called Vinograf nearby that I probably never would’ve found otherwise. Transit-wise, you’re about a five-minute walk to Křižíkova metro station, which puts you two stops from the main train station or three from Wenceslas Square. The trams are even closer – literally at the end of the block. Parking can be tricky if you’re driving (it’s mostly residential permit zones), but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The only real downside is that Karlín can get pretty quiet after about 10 PM, which some people love but others might find a bit too sleepy. Also, weekend mornings can be a little noisy with the tram line, though you get used to it pretty quickly. That 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not luxury, but it nails all the stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling.

  Porządek, przestronność, jakość do ceny była adekwatna,lokalizacja naprawdę dobra a kontakt z właścicielem świetny. Pobyt 3 dniowy ale zdecydowanie udany.Wszystko działało jak trzeba, przybory kuchenne na miejscu, dodatkowo ekspres z kapsułkami. Okolica cicha i spokojna,niedaleko znajdował się komisariat. Bardzo zadowolona jestem z pobytu.

  Das Zimmer war sehr schön. Ausgestattet mit modernen Bad und Küche. Haltestellen für Bus und Bahn waren in 10 Minuten erreichbar und man kam schnell ins Zentrum.
  Es gab Kaffee s in unmittelbarer Nähe wo man super frühstücken konnte. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und empfehlen es weiter.
