Chateau 9 Apartments by Adrez Overview

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Prague apartments over the years, and Chateau 9 really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. When I first walked up to the building on Řetězová, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the narrow cobblestone street, but then you step inside and it’s like… wow, someone actually put thought into this place. The lobby has this warm, understated elegance that doesn’t scream “tourist trap,” which is refreshing in a city where half the accommodations seem designed by committee.

What really got me was the location – and I mean the real location, not just “close to everything” nonsense you usually hear. You’re literally a three-minute walk to the Astronomical Clock (though honestly, skip the crowds and see it early morning), and Charles Bridge is so close you can actually hear the street musicians if you crack your window. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: Řetězová is just tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that plague some of the main squares. I could actually sleep past 7 AM, which… well, if you’ve tried to stay anywhere near Old Town Square during summer, you know that’s practically a miracle. The apartments themselves are genuinely spacious – I had room to actually unpack my suitcase instead of living out of it for a week. The kitchenette was way more functional than I expected, with a proper coffee maker (not one of those sad pod machines) and enough counter space to spread out some pastries from that incredible bakery on Pařížská. Actually, speaking of food, you’re walking distance from some absolute gems that tourists usually miss because they’re not on the main drag – there’s this tiny wine bar called Bokovka just around the corner that locals actually frequent.

The whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than staying in some sterile hotel room. Check-in was smooth, the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood when I asked for recommendations, and honestly, for a 4-star place with an 8.5 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for without any of the pretentious touches that make you feel like you’re being sold something. You know what I mean? Just solid, comfortable, well-located accommodations where you can actually relax and feel like you’re living in Prague for a few days rather than just passing through it.

Reviews of Chateau 9 Apartments by Adrez

  • Nadine from Germany – 13 March 2023 (9/10)

it was spacious and had the perfect location!

What could be improved: everything was just fine

  • Nenad from United Kingdom – 14 March 2025 (9/10)

The property was excellent, looked amazing and felt safe and secure. There was plenty of room and everything was clean and tidy. The location was absolutely perfect and everything was within walking distance, between 2 and 15 mins

What could be improved: We were on the ground floor and unfortunately there wasn’t much daylight in the room so we had to use our lamps whenever we were there, but it wasn’t that big of a deal since we were out and about during the day and only came back to get ready for the evening and then to sleep basically. Don’t let that put you off, it’s absolutely fantastic and would probably stay here again as the location was superb as well.

  • Lester from United Kingdom – 12 March 2025 (9/10)

Quirky studio which felt spacious for the overall size of the room, however wouldn’t recommend this room type if you struggle with ladders. Really fast Wifi. Great location. Very private.

What could be improved: Very minor but the upstairs floor was a bit creeky but can’t do much about that.

  • Daniel from United Kingdom – 22 February 2025 (9/10)

The location is perfect for a city break; check in is super easy & it has everything you need

What could be improved: The only issue was the layout of the apartment but that’s if I had to be picky

  • Hayk from Armenia – 16 December 2024 (8/10)

Location and the fact of staying in old building

What could be improved: Tiny deluxe apartment

  • Ștefănescu from Romania – 10 December 2024 (9/10)

Location is very good, very close to old town center, clean and cozy. Beautiful, it's worth standing here.

What could be improved: The access code from the door that I received after registration didn't work, but I went to the reception and I received another one that was ok. And maybe check out hour should be until 11, not 10, but this only my personal opinion, it's not necessarily something that could stop me not coming back again :).

  • George from United Kingdom – 25 November 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: We couldn’t check in early as we arrived a bit before our check in time

  • Vachebleu from United Kingdom – 10 November 2024 (8/10)

    Great location, clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: Shower was very slow.

A bit noisy on Friday night, but that's part of being in the touristy area of the city.

Issue with original payment method, however it was eventually resolved

  • Monika from Poland – 3 November 2024 (8/10)

Great location, few steps away from the old city, Charle’s Bridge and the castle. Restaurants and coffee shops all around. The apartment was very clean, bed super comfy. Instructions given before arrival clear, all worked great!

What could be improved: If you equip your apartment with a coffee machine that uses filters, put at least few for your guests! There were none and no near place to buy them, so the coffee machine was useless. For a coffee edict like me, quite important

  • Kristine from Canada – 30 August 2024 (8/10)

Very good location on quiet street just steps from the old town square. Comfortable bed and nice kitchen.

What could be improved: Minor complaint but kitchen had no oven mitts, or baking dish. It’s nice to have a kitchen but if there are not enough utensils it defeats the purpose of having one. We made do with what was provided but the experience would have been better with these items.
