The ICON Hotel & Lounge (now marketed as The ICON Prague) is a 31-room boutique hotel at V Jámě 1263/6 in the New Town (Nové Město), Prague 1, a side street just off Wenceslas Square.

Location

The Vodičkova tram stop is about 3 minutes on foot and Václavské náměstí stop within 5 minutes. Wenceslas Square is about 3 minutes away, the Lucerna Palace within 5 minutes, Charles Square about 5 minutes and Old Town Square about 11 minutes on foot. The Dancing House is about 12 minutes on foot and Prague Main Railway Station about 12 minutes. Václav Havel Airport is roughly 40 minutes by car.

The property

The hotel occupies a four-floor building, built in 2007, with a lift. The interiors use golden wood and violet tones, with furniture by the Czech firm Modernista, which reissues 20th-century Czech modernist designs, and Czech art in the corridors and restaurant. Rooms have Hästens beds and air conditioning; Deluxe rooms add a minibar and safe. There is a 24-hour front desk, a restaurant and lounge bar, and massage services. A buffet breakfast runs from 07:00 to 10:30 on weekdays and until 11:00 at weekends.

Just one thing, when using the shower the flow was sometimes weak.. probably depends on the rooms next to my room

Hotel was sparkling, the breakfast was good, the location was ideal to walk to centre or catch a tram. Above all the staff were probably the best we’ve ever dealt with. Attentive to a fault, very friendly and helpful.
