You know what struck me first about Bellevue Apartment? The address – Smetanovo nábřeží 16 – sounds fancy, but honestly, it’s just a really lovely spot right along the Vltava riverbank. I mean, when you’re standing on that embankment, you’re literally looking across at Prague Castle, and it hits different than all those tourist shots you see online. The building itself has this understated elegance that screams “local favorite” rather than tourist trap, which is probably why it’s pulling a 9.8 rating that actually feels earned.

The thing about staying here is that you’re in Nové Město (New Town, though it’s anything but new), and honestly, this might be the sweet spot everyone talks about but few people actually find. You can walk to Wenceslas Square in maybe ten minutes, but you’re far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with those massive tour groups at 7 AM. The apartment setup works brilliantly – it’s got that “I live here” vibe instead of the sterile hotel room feeling, plus you can grab groceries at the Tesco just a few blocks away on Národní if you want to save some crowns on breakfast. Parking can be tricky around here (like most of Prague, let’s be real), but there’s usually street parking if you’re patient, and the tram connections are solid – the 17 and 21 lines run pretty frequently along the embankment.

What really sells this place, though, is how it sits in the rhythm of the city. Early morning, you’ll hear the trams rumbling by and maybe some river traffic, but it’s not the kind of noise that keeps you up – more like a gentle urban lullaby. The building has character without being creaky, and the 4-star rating feels right; it’s polished but not pretentious. I actually love that you can walk along the river path toward Kampa Island or head the other direction toward the Dancing House (which looks way cooler at sunset, by the way). The neighborhood has this mix of locals heading to work and visitors who’ve figured out that staying slightly off the beaten path means better prices and, honestly, a more authentic experience. You’re close enough to duck into a traditional hospoda for dinner – there’s a great one called U Fleků about fifteen minutes away – but you can also hit up some of the newer places that locals actually frequent.

  I don't think you could stay at a better place in Prague! This VIEW! It's incredible. Very easy to work with the host. The apartment has everything you need. The location is great. We loved our time here. An earlier review mentioned issues with the AC. We were there in a heatwave and there were no issues keeping it cool.

  I could not fault this apartment or Host in any way. Everything you needed was there & more. Spotlessly clean. Complete privacy between bedrooms due to the layout of the apartment. Wonderful little balcony to sit out on & the view is simply spectacular.
  Our Host arranged an airport pick-up, met us on arrival at the apartment, gave us advice on where to shop & where we could get a clean, safe massage & sauna for a girls only night.
