Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Wine Pension Prague? It’s tucked away on Hubičkova street in this quiet residential area that most tourists never see – and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. I mean, you’re still in Prague 4, so you’re not exactly in the middle of nowhere, but there’s something refreshing about stepping out of your hotel and seeing actual Czech families walking their dogs instead of crowds of people taking selfies. The building itself has that understated Central European charm – nothing flashy, just solid and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-kept family place rather than some corporate chain.
The whole wine theme isn’t just marketing fluff either (though I’ll admit I was skeptical at first). They actually know their stuff when it comes to Czech wines, and the owner – or maybe it was the manager, I’m not entirely sure – gave me some genuinely good recommendations for local bottles I’d never heard of. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place: clean, comfortable beds, decent WiFi that actually works, and thankfully good blackout curtains because those Prague summer mornings start early. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re far enough from the main tourist areas that you don’t have drunk groups stumbling around at 2 AM, but close enough that a quick tram ride gets you to Old Town in maybe 20 minutes. Parking was surprisingly easy too – there’s usually space on the street, which anyone who’s driven in Prague will tell you is basically a miracle.
Here’s the thing about this place: it gets an 8.8 rating because it does the basics really well without trying to be something it’s not. The breakfast is proper Czech fare (none of that sad continental stuff), the staff actually remembers your name after a day or two, and they’re genuinely helpful about things like where to find a good hospoda that isn’t full of tourists. I stayed there in late September when the weather was still nice but the summer crowds had thinned out, and it felt like I’d found this little pocket of authentic Prague life. Sure, you’re not going to have a rooftop pool or a fancy spa, but if you want a comfortable base to explore the city without paying tourist-trap prices – and maybe learn something about Czech wine in the process – this place really delivers on what it promises.

The rooms was comfy and clean – just what we needed after a day of walking around Prague. It's close to a tram line that takes you directly to the Old Town.
The breakfast was delicious and downstairs in the bar had an excellent selection of wines to try.
The staff were friendly, helped with tram directions and easy to contact with any queriesEnjoyed this little place in the suburbs of Prague! – Vince from United States – 11 April 2024 (10/10)
Loved this little place. Quaint. Small. Just simple. There is no 24 hr staff available. They are avail for some time in the morning and some time in the afternoon and evening. Not a complaint. Just the way the little place is run, that's all.

Nice peppery with wine tasting. Extremely friendly staff who were kind and friendly. Rooms had a balcony which was nice and there was a patio on the property you could relax on and enjoy your wine.
What could be improved: They got pretty upset with us when we were 15 minutes late checking out- she knocked on our door and frantically told us we must leave!!Over all it was good🤗 – Jina from Sweden – 20 July 2023 (8/10)
It was a bit far from Prague. It was clean and personell were friendly.
We had to pay taxes on arrival which I didn’t expect.perfect for longer stay in Prague – Floriantudor from Germany – 31 May 2023 (9/10)
I recently stayed at this pension with my family and overall, our experience was very good. The pension offered great flexibility with our arrival time, and even though we arrived after 11 PM, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The availability of a parking lot was a definite plus, and the fact that the pension is located in a quiet area made our stay even more enjoyable.
The apartment we stayed in, located on the top floor of the pension, was clean and well-maintained. One of the highlights was the large terrace, which provided a wonderful space for relaxation and enjoying the surroundings. Additionally, the proximity to tram number 17 made it convenient to reach the city center within approximately 30 minutes, and the affordable fare of around 1 euro per person was certainly a bonus.
What could be improved: However, there was one drawback that we encountered during our stay, which was the noise isolation of the apartment. As we were traveling with kids, we had to be extremely cautious about keeping noise levels low. Unfortunately, even the slightest high-pitched noise seemed to reverberate throughout the entire apartment, making it a bit challenging to maintain the desired tranquility.
Despite this minor inconvenience, we still had a pleasant stay at the pension. The positive aspects, such as the cleanliness, spacious terrace, flexibility with check-in, and convenient transportation options, far outweighed the noise issue. If you are a quiet and considerate traveler or don't mind the occasional noise, I would highly recommend this pension for its overall comfort and value.Exceptional – M-k-r from Poland – 8 May 2023 (10/10)
Free parking, no additional charge (no tax per person or accommodation), even though the check-in is at 4pm, I have sent a message via booking that we will arrive about 1/2pm, they gave me the card and the room was ready and clean just simple call and quick guide where to find the card and provided the code . In breakfast I asked if they can give me salami chicken they brought me. Tickets for public transport available. Breakfast is very OK and correct. Stuff friendly and warmly. The location described in the booking is correct and adequate. We are happy I highly recommend.
