The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s this attention to lighting that you don’t always get in mid-range places. Natural light during the day, but the evening lighting is warm and actually helps you wind down. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with good water pressure – honestly, after walking around Prague’s cobblestones all day, that shower hits differently. The 7.6 rating feels about right; it’s not perfect, but the imperfections are minor things like occasionally slow WiFi or the elevator being a bit temperamental (though really, most Prague buildings have quirky elevators).

What sets this place apart is the staff’s genuine knowledge of the neighborhood. They’ll point you toward the good coffee spots on nearby streets – not the tourist traps, but places where locals actually go. There’s this café around the corner that I never would have found otherwise. The whole experience feels more… authentic, I guess? Like you’re staying somewhere that understands Prague beyond just the castle and the bridge. Parking can be tricky in this area (welcome to central Prague), but they’ll help you figure out the closest options, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car much anyway. The combination of being central but not overwhelmed by tourists, plus that genuine focus on creating a restful space, makes Wellness Rooms Central worth considering – especially if you’re the type of traveler who values good sleep and easy access over fancy amenities you’ll barely use.

• A great place to stay in Prague if you don’t expect luxury – Elisabetta from Italy – 20 July 2025 (9/10)

  The location was perfect, near two metro stations and close to most sights. The room and the toilet were clean, the staff was helpful especially when I locked myself out of my room.
  It was great to have a well equipped kitchen.
  
  What could be improved: The room is a bit bare and could do with a little wardrobe or some shelves on the wall. The floor was rather tatty.

  The room was very clean and perfect size with a very comfy bed, central so everything was within walking distance but not too loud at night.

  What could be improved: I didn’t like the lack of plug sockets in the room. Also there should be somewhere to fill a water bottle up for using the spa as I was quite surprised I had to pay for water.

  The staff were very helpful. I ended up arriving past check-in time due to train delays and they were very understanding about it. Bed was also good although the top bunk was creaky.
  
  What could be improved: They use a chat bot to manage conversations sometimes which is a real risk for poor communication. I think less reliance on AI Alfred would be good.
  Neither a pro nor a con: the shower in room 9 can be a bit weird to turn on, and the bathroom on that floor has no actual toilet paper dispenser so it's just a giant roll sitting on a shelf behind the toilet lol
