Vltava Design Apartments Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Vltava Design Apartments on Seifertova Street – the building looked pretty standard from the outside, you know? But step inside and wow, they really weren’t kidding about the “design” part. The whole place has this sleek, minimalist thing going on that somehow feels warm instead of cold, which is harder to pull off than you’d think.
What I love about this spot is that you’re actually staying in a proper Prague neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. Seifertova runs through Vinohrady, which means you’ve got real Czech life happening around you – people walking their dogs in the morning, that little bakery smell drifting from shops, trams clanking by with their familiar Prague soundtrack. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk from Náměstí Míru (Peace Square), where there’s this gorgeous church and tons of cafes where locals actually hang out. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – I mean, Prague isn’t exactly known for roomy accommodations, but these feel like places you could actually live in for a while, not just crash for a night.
The kitchen setup is what really sold me though. They’ve got proper appliances, not those tiny hotel room fridges that barely hold a bottle of wine. Perfect for picking up some of those amazing Czech pastries or grabbing ingredients from the Vinohrady market if you’re feeling ambitious. The beds are comfortable (honestly, after walking around Prague’s cobblestones all day, you’ll appreciate that), and the whole place stays pretty quiet despite being on a fairly busy street. There’s decent soundproofing, which – trust me – matters when the trams start running early in the morning. Check-in was smooth too, none of that awkward fumbling around trying to find someone at a front desk. The staff actually knows the neighborhood well, so they can point you toward the good stuff that’s not in every guidebook. Only minor thing is parking can be a bit tricky if you’ve got a car, but honestly, you don’t need one in this part of Prague anyway. The whole area’s well connected by public transport, and half the fun is just wandering around discovering those hidden courtyards and little wine bars tucked into basement spaces. For the price and location, it’s really solid – feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to get a real feel for Prague.

Very nice, new, bright apartment. Comfortable, well-equipped apartment on the fourth floor with an elevator. There is a tram stop in front of the house, you can quickly get to the city center. We had a good time, Robert the host was very kind and helpful. Thanks

Excellent apartment, nicely decorated and very well equipped. Very good air conditioning. Robert was super nice and helpful. Can't say enough good things about this flat.
What could be improved: Nothing really! If you leave a key in the inside of the door, you will be locked out; so watch out for that…Maksims from Latvia – 24 June 2024 (10/10)
Robert was extremely helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure a safe and a pleasant stay.

Oliwia from Poland – 6 June 2024 (8/10)
What could be improved: Bedroom wasnt totally seperated from living room with kitchen where second bed was placed
Vardinne from United Kingdom – 1 June 2024 (8/10)
The apartment is tiny, but very cleverly planned, and it provides everything a family of 3 needs for a short stay.
Conveniently located in Praha 3, you can take a pleasant stroll to the centre or get a taxi (we used Bolt), which is cheap.
We were greeted by Milan, who's absolutely lovely in every way.
Overall, we had a good stay.
What could be improved: There were a few things that I thought I'd mention. Those things might be critical to some people, and I'm trying to be fair.
1. The shower cubicle doesn't have a full door. Every time someone takes a shower the entire bathroom gets absolutely flooded and there's no way to prevent it. You then have to spend a long time soaking the water in to make the floor walkable and safe.
2. We found the double bed quite hard and uncomfortable. Granted, it's a matter of personal preference, but both my husband and I didn't have a very good sleep because of that.
3. The flat is in the loft, and even in the chilly weather it was a bit stuffy to sleep there with shut windows. The trouble is that if it rains you can't leave them open, because the water gets inside. I can only imagine how heated the flat gets in the hot days.
