Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Vitkova apartment? The balcony actually feels private, which is pretty rare in Prague’s older neighborhoods. I mean, you’re right on Vítkova street in Karlín, so you’d expect to be staring into someone’s living room, but the way this place sits – you get this decent view without feeling like you’re on display.
Karlín’s honestly one of those districts that locals love but tourists are just starting to figure out. You’re maybe a 12-minute walk to the old town if you cut through Florenc (though honestly, the tram from nearby Křižíkova is easier with luggage). The street itself is pretty quiet considering you’re this close to everything – I stayed here in June and yeah, there’s some morning traffic, but nothing that kept me awake. The apartment itself feels bigger than most Prague rentals I’ve been in. Three stars sounds about right – it’s not fancy, but everything works and the kitchen’s actually usable if you want to grab groceries from the Billa down the street instead of eating out every meal. The balcony’s probably the best feature though – perfect for morning coffee or a beer in the evening. You get some tree coverage too, which I wasn’t expecting in this part of town.
What I really appreciated was how straightforward everything was. Check-in was smooth, the building’s easy to find (right across from that little park), and parking… well, street parking’s typical Prague chaos, but there’s usually something within a block if you’re patient. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but you’ll be comfortable and you’re in a genuinely cool neighborhood. Plus you’re close enough to walk to that amazing Vietnamese place on Sokolovská (trust me on this one) and you can hit Wenceslas Square without feeling like you need to plan your whole day around getting back. If you want something authentic without the tourist markup, this works.
Hotels in Prague offer guests the perfect blend of Gothic grandeur and modern comfort, with many featuring traditional Czech beer concierge services and medieval architecture to enhance the authentic Central European cultural experience.

Nice cozy apartment – Andrea from Chile – 27 May 2025 (7/10)
The apartment was cozy and very well equipped. The location was great, you've access to bus, tram and metro in a very short distance. Also there's stores and supermarkets close by. The area feels safe. It has a cute little balcony that we enjoyed for having breakfast when the weather was nice. There's a lot of plugs close to the bed
What could be improved: The walls are very thin so you could hear everything from the apartment next door. The shower felt a bit small.Very good – Martin from North Macedonia – 16 August 2024 (8/10)
Host was super nice : ))
location was good. Close to the center but enough away from the crowd and the noise.Exceptional – Tseng from Switzerland – 13 July 2025 (10/10)
It's at a super nice location. The neighborhood is amazing, local, and quiet. Restos and cafes nearby are great and added a nice essence to my stay. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. The balcony (sun shines in the morning, therefore the afternoon isn't too warm) is nice and the kitchen is well equipped.
What could be improved: The sidewalk from the metro station to the apartment is quite bumpy, so people with super large luggage are recommended to request a taxi service from the facility 🙂Very good – Eliška from Czech Republic – 11 March 2025 (8/10)
Uklizeno, teplo akorát, čisto
What could be improved: Pár drobností nefungovalo: jedno světlo a závěsy nešly úplně zatáhnout, ale pán to už asi spravilGood – Aage from Denmark – 30 March 2024 (7/10)
Dejlig rolig beliggenhed i roligt "tjekkisk" kvarter, tæt på centrum og alligevel lidt væk fra turist-mylderet. Fint lille køkken og udmærket badeværelse.
Superb – Alona from Germany – 13 May 2025 (9/10)

Good – Andrii from Ukraine – 8 February 2025 (7/10)
Good – Yevhen from Ukraine – 18 August 2024 (7/10)
Exceptional – Maik from Germany – 17 June 2025 (10/10)
