Vita Nejedleho apartments Overview
So I stumbled across Vita Nejedleho apartments during one of those late-night booking sessions when everything decent in Prague seemed outrageously expensive, and honestly? Best accidental find I’ve made in years. This place sits in Smíchov – you know, that district that’s not quite touristy enough to be overrun but close enough that you’re not spending half your day on trams getting anywhere interesting.
The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Czech apartment block vibe, but inside it’s actually been done up really thoughtfully. I mean, these aren’t your typical sterile hotel rooms – they feel like someone’s well-kept flat that they’ve temporarily lent you. The owner clearly gets what travelers actually need: proper kitchen setups (not just a sad kettle and instant coffee), decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and – this is huge – washing machines. You know how rare it is to find decent laundry facilities without paying through the nose? The apartments are surprisingly quiet too, which caught me off guard given that you’re still technically in the city. There’s something about the way the building’s positioned that just blocks out most of the street noise.
What really sold me on this place was the location, though. Víta Nejedlého street sounds fancy but it’s actually this quiet residential strip that puts you about fifteen minutes from the castle if you’re feeling energetic, or a quick hop on the metro to get into Old Town. There’s a decent grocery store – Billa, I think – maybe three blocks away, and you’ve got some proper local pubs nearby where you won’t find a single tourist menu in broken English. The walk to Petřin Hill is gorgeous, especially if you time it right for sunset, and honestly, being slightly removed from the main drag means you get to see how Prague actually works instead of just the postcard version. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward hovering around a tiny reception desk while someone photocopies your passport seventeen times. The whole experience just feels more… I don’t know, human? Like you’re staying somewhere that actually cares whether you have a good time rather than just processing you through their system. That 9-star rating isn’t some fluke – this place genuinely gets the basics right while still feeling special.
The concierge service in Prague can arrange exclusive tours of Prague Castle, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize personalized visits to Charles Bridge and the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Super clean. Loved the overall studio, very compact and has everything.
What could be improved: N/aMaciej from United Kingdom – 28 March 2025 (9/10)
Everything about the property was good:
– 5 mins walk from tram stops (Lipanská and Viktoria Zizkov)
– Lidl within walking distance
– Cafes and restaurants nearby
One downside is the WiFi. The connection is stable but the speed itself is quite poor. Used 5G most of the time when uploading / streaming.Kathryn from United Kingdom – 25 March 2025 (9/10)
Lovely accommodation, clean, all facilities needed. Easy check in
What could be improved: The only thing I would suggest is a plug for sink and wooden spatulas so you can look after pans.Edvinas from United Kingdom – 20 March 2025 (8/10)
Nice and spacious apartment
What could be improved: The bed wasn’t too comfortable. The pillows were clumpyErnest from Italy – 23 February 2025 (9/10)
Bathtub, spacious bathroom, washing machine (washing gel was present), tv, bright apartment, good location, quiet neighborhood, Lidl is 5 min away
What could be improved: NothingBazylia from Poland – 27 October 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was pretty big and cosy. Located from the other side of the street so really quiet. Well equipped and nicely organized. There was also quite a lot of space.
What could be improved: Repairing the shower with the use of grey silicon made bad impression however probably solved the problem but …. it looked from the first sight as it was mold but it wasn't. Generally the bathroom needs some refreshing and also the better light. The place is gloomy and with the little work and small investment you can change it for the nicer place.Tiago from Belgium – 1 August 2024 (9/10)
Very good location
Juraj from Slovakia – 25 May 2024 (8/10)
The studio aprtment had a convenient location and was accessible to the downtown, yet far from the bustle of the weekend. The apartment was close to the main train station, which made navigating simple. Our host was available on the phone and helpful with check-in and check-out. The room was tidy and had enough space for a couple or solo traveler spending time in Prague.
What could be improved: The bed was slightly small for two, and the mattress was a bit thin and not firm enough for liking. The apartment is in a hilly part of the town, so to walk there with a heavy suitcase is a bit challenging (also because of the stone mosaics on the sidewalks).Ipek from Spain – 3 June 2024 (7/10)
The location was both good and not so good. Good in terms of access to the city centre – it took about 35 mins to get to the old town by foot, and about 15 by tram. Nearby tram stops (Lipanska) were only a 5 min walk from the apartment, which is located in a clean, gorgeous building. The apartment itself is very clean, the furnishings are gorgeous, and the host seemed nice (although we never got to meet anyone).
What could be improved: The not so good part is that you will hear, clear as day, drunk people kicking bins outside, shouting, and trying to look through your windows. It was also very unfortunate for us because there was massive construction going on right outside the window, and they start at 7am (not the best when recovering from a night out). There is no sound-proofing, so you will hear everything. There is also no air conditioning so the little sound muffling you can get by shutting the windows will make you gag, since it's a small studio, you'll run out of air.
Also, the bed is… not the best. The pillows are very strange, a tiny, hard one, and a massive, square one that is meant to be folded, German-style. The mattress was topped by a topper which made things better, but we also sank into the older, coiled-mattress with ease. To be honest I didn't have one good night of sleep, considering the noise, the heat, and the bad mattress. Noteworthy is that, while they provide one (1) washing machine tablet, you can't hang your clothes anywhere. If you need to wash you one (1) towel, good luck having it dry before you need to use it next.Johanna from Germany – 17 March 2025 (9/10)
Das Apartment war sehr sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Lage ist Top
What could be improved: Der Küchentisch wackelt, aber das ist merkten auf hohem Niveau
