You know what I mean? It’s not one of those tourist corridors where every ground floor is a souvenir shop and the only people you see are holding selfie sticks. In the mornings, you’ll hear Czech conversations from the café downstairs, and there’s something really authentic about grabbing your coffee alongside people heading to actual jobs instead of tour buses. The Old Town Square crowds feel manageable when you can duck back to this quiet stretch – and honestly, after a long day of castle visits and beer halls, that matters more than you’d think.

The apartments themselves feel properly lived-in rather than hotel sterile. Each one’s a bit different (I stayed in what used to be part of a larger 19th-century building), but they’ve all got these great kitchen setups that make you want to hit the local markets. There’s actually decent counter space and real wine glasses, not plastic cups – small things, but they add up. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you experience the details: proper blackout curtains for those bright summer mornings, heating that responds quickly during shoulder season, and – this was clutch – reliable wifi that worked throughout the space, not just near the router. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, no hovering in a lobby hoping your room’s ready. They seem to understand that people arrive at all hours and just want to settle in without drama.
