You know what caught me off guard about Vienna House Andel’s? It’s actually in this really cool spot in Smíchov that most tourists totally overlook. I mean, you’re not right in the thick of Old Town chaos, but honestly – that’s kind of perfect. The tram stop is literally right there on Stroupežnického, and I swear you can get to Wenceslas Square in like fifteen minutes without dealing with all the crowds stumbling around with their maps out.

The building itself is this interesting mix – sort of modern but not trying too hard to be trendy, if that makes sense. When I walked into the lobby, it felt spacious without being cold, and the staff actually seemed to know what they were talking about (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given). My room was on the eighth floor, and honestly, the view over the Petřin Hill area was way better than I expected. You can see the tower poking up through the trees, especially nice in the evening when everything gets that golden light. The rooms are clean and well-thought-out – I particularly liked that they had enough outlets near the bed, because whoever designed most European hotels clearly never owned a phone charger.

Here’s what I really appreciated though: the neighborhood. Walk five minutes and you hit Anděl, which has this great shopping center if you need anything, plus some solid restaurants that aren’t charging tourist prices. There’s this little Vietnamese place around the corner that the hotel staff recommended – honestly some of the best pho I’ve had outside of Vietnam. And if you’re into the whole cultural thing, the Staropramen brewery is basically next door. I could smell the hops some mornings when the wind was right, which sounds weird but was actually kind of pleasant. The area gets quiet at night too, unlike some places in Prague where you’re dealing with stag parties until 3 AM. I slept really well, and the blackout curtains actually worked (small victories, right?).

Getting around is ridiculously easy – the metro’s right there at Anděl station, and honestly, I ended up walking to a lot of places because the riverside path along the Vltava is gorgeous and way more interesting than taking transport. Plus, parking was straightforward when my friend drove in from Vienna, which saved us the headache of figuring out Prague’s parking situation. The breakfast was solid too – nothing fancy, but they had actual good coffee and fresh pastries, not that weird continental stuff that tastes like cardboard. It’s the kind of place where everything just works without any drama, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to enjoy a city like Prague.

  The location is perfect. It's a 20 minute walking distance from old town. Also a lot of things are surrounding the hotel (mall, cafes, restaurants and public transportation.).

  Súper clean and comfortable room, nicely located by a metro station, tram and bus stops and several shops. Staff was lovely and the breakfast amazing.

  Everything !!!!! I arrived and the amazing receptionist Janette made eye contact and greeted me with a warm welcome. She was patient and explained everything I needed. I did an early check in for 20 euros , amazing price . The room was very well clean, huge, comfortable , the bathroom was unbelievable of well structured , shower separated of the toilet , bath , everything is great conditions. I will definitely come back to this hotel. Thank you all . The location of the hotel is amazing . There is a mall on the side with amazing shops , eateries , Tesco …I truly recommend
  
  What could be improved: I just didn’t like that the frigobar team knock the door in the morning ( the girl is very nice btw ) and the Hsk knocked at 8:35 am of my last day and I was sleeping . I never had a DND signage. I was in a huge jet lag and needed to sleep …
  The breakfast on Saturday was crazy with a group there which was an inconvenience for who was not part of this huge group. I want to give congratulations to the guys who worked in that Chaotic breakfast who handled so well Speacially while cleaning the tables so fast.
