There’s this little Vietnamese place around the corner that the hotel staff recommended – honestly some of the best pho I’ve had outside of Vietnam. And if you’re into the whole cultural thing, the Staropramen brewery is basically next door. I could smell the hops some mornings when the wind was right, which sounds weird but was actually kind of pleasant. The area gets quiet at night too, unlike some places in Prague where you’re dealing with stag parties until 3 AM. I slept really well, and the blackout curtains actually worked (small victories, right?).

Getting around is ridiculously easy – the metro’s right there at Anděl station, and honestly, I ended up walking to a lot of places because the riverside path along the Vltava is gorgeous and way more interesting than taking transport. Plus, parking was straightforward when my friend drove in from Vienna, which saved us the headache of figuring out Prague’s parking situation. The breakfast was solid too – nothing fancy, but they had actual good coffee and fresh pastries, not that weird continental stuff that tastes like cardboard. It’s the kind of place where everything just works without any drama, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to enjoy a city like Prague.
