Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of Prague apartments over the years, and honestly? The Vantisch Old Town Apartment on Opatovická is one of those places that just gets it right. First thing you notice walking up is how quiet this little street is – I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Old Town, but somehow you’ve dodged all the tourist chaos that makes Wenceslas Square feel like a theme park sometimes.

The apartment itself feels authentically Prague, if that makes sense. Not like someone took a generic flat and slapped some Czech tourist posters on the walls, but actually thoughtful – the windows are those tall European ones that let in incredible light during the day, and you can hear the distant sound of trams which is oddly soothing once you get used to it. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which matters because honestly, eating out for every meal in Prague gets expensive fast (and your stomach will thank you for a break from all that goulash). What really impressed me was the attention to small details – good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually work, WiFi that doesn’t cut out every twenty minutes like so many places here.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re walking around – Opatovická puts you about a seven-minute walk to Charles Bridge, but you’re approaching it from the less crowded side. You know that madness where everyone’s trying to get the same Instagram shot? You can actually avoid most of that. Plus you’re close enough to Národní Street that grabbing groceries or finding a decent coffee shop (there’s this little place called Café Savoy nearby that locals actually go to) doesn’t require a expedition. The 9.5 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me – I’ve recommended this place to three different friends now, and they all said the same thing: it feels like staying in Prague, not just visiting it. Sure, it’s only three stars officially, but sometimes that just means they’re not charging you extra for a marble lobby you’ll never use anyway.

  The location was great – walking distance (10-15min) to main attractions. Bus stop is a really nearby walk too – we travelled with backpacks so this was important to us! We recommend the restaurant nearby called "Kavárna Velryba".
  
  What could be improved: When we arrived the keys were not in the key box due to another guest posting them in a postbox instead. We contacted the owner who tried to sort it out – this took a while but we were patient as it was out of her control. She very kindly offered to refund us for our first night's stay but we never received the refund. Seeing that we effectively missed a day of sightseeing waiting around for a locksmith in the heat of the day with heavy backacks on was disappointing, so a refund would have softened the blow.

  The apartment is very well equipped. Extremely safe. And perfectly positioned. We could walk everywhere without feeling unsafe.
  
  I strongly recommend this apartment to couples visiting prague. The location is perfect for sightseeing, bars, restaurants, and the theatre.
  
  The beds are super comfortable, and the street is quiet. We slept really well.
  
  The kitchen is well equipped, and I cooked without needing anything.

  It was very clean, super cosy and is very well centered. We never needed to take the bus, tram or taxi because we were able to walk everywhere in 10-20mins from the apartment. Bonus: The restaurant called „U Mateje“ and the Coffee Shop „Alma“ right around the corner. Great traditional czech cuisine with friendly staff and bohemian touch, such as breakfast with great coffee at Alma.

  The apartment was amazing and very well furnished. It was cozy and warm in during the Prague’s winter. It was in a very good location, close to public transport,good restaurants , places to visit and old town.

  El apartamento es estupendo. La cama, el sofá, la bañera, la cocina súper completa. Todo muy cómodo y nuevo. La recogida de las llaves fue fácil y rápida.

  Heerlijk appartement waar we verbleven met 1 kind. Alles keurig netjes bij aankomst en contact met verhuurder verliep erg soepel. Ligging erg fijn ten opzichte van metro en tram ook. Supermarkt, bakker en koffiebar op loopafstand en appartement relatief rustig gelegen, toch midden in de stad.
  
  What could be improved: De douche zit in bad; onze voorkeur was wellicht toch staand douchen geweest.
