Hotel Description
Honestly, I walked past Valentina Apartments twice before realizing I’d found my place – it sits so naturally on Čelakovského sady that it feels more like stumbling onto a local secret than checking into tourist accommodation. The building has this understated Prague charm, you know what I mean? Not the flashy kind you see plastered all over Instagram, but the real deal that makes you feel like you’re actually living in the city rather than just visiting it.
The location is what really got me though. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star place so you’re not expecting marble lobbies or anything, but being right there on Čelakovského sady puts you in this perfect sweet spot. You’ve got the park literally at your doorstep – and I’m talking about proper green space where locals walk their dogs and kids play football, not some manicured tourist garden. Walk five minutes toward the river and you hit that gorgeous stretch along the Vltava where the morning joggers go (I may have joined them once or twice). The tram connections are actually brilliant from here – line 17 gets you to the Old Town in maybe fifteen minutes, and there’s something satisfying about hopping on public transport like you belong there instead of fumbling with tourist maps.
What strikes me about the apartments themselves is how they’ve managed to nail that balance between practical and comfortable without trying too hard. The rooms feel genuinely livable – I’m talking proper kitchen setups where you can actually cook something more ambitious than instant noodles, decent wifi that doesn’t cut out during video calls (learned that the hard way at other places), and windows that open wide enough to let in those cool Prague evenings. The whole place runs quietly too, which surprised me given how central you are. Maybe it’s the way the building sits back from the main road, or just good soundproofing, but I never had those 3am party-noise situations that seem to plague half the places in the city center. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward hovering around a tiny reception desk while someone frantically searches for your booking.
You know what really sealed it for me though? The little grocery shop around the corner that stays open late, and how the woman there started recognizing me after three days. There’s a proper Czech pub about two blocks away where the beer costs what locals pay, not tourist prices, and a coffee place that opens early enough for people who actually have places to be. It’s that kind of neighborhood – functional and real, but still gorgeous in that effortless Prague way. The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just doing everything really well without any fuss.
To book a hotel in Prague during the famous Easter Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.

A cozy apartment in an old style building with a shared kitchen with all you may need. The location is walkable from main train station, great bakery and restaurant. The host is very helpful with the city attractions.

Location is great. Main train station is about one km away and the Museum train station is about 300 meters away. Rest of the touristy places can be walked to with all within 3kms of the accommodation.
What could be improved: Some toiletries such as shampoo and body shower should be provided even though it is not a hotel and a self managed apartment.Arushi from United States – 25 August 2024 (8/10)
-Host Andrew is the nicest person ever!! He is so sweet and approachable. Plus he gives amazing recommendations. He spent so much time giving us a detailed itinerary for what we should do
-The room is big, very centrally located. Right behind national museum.
-you can walk to Charles bridge – took us around 25 mins and the walk from the property to old town is very scenic
What could be improved: No air conditioning, room was extremely hot. We weren’t provided a fan until the second day after we requested for a fan on our first day and the one given was very small for the size of the room. And if we opened the windows, the loud sirens wouldn’t let us sleep. So that was a problem but overall it didn’t matter a lot coz we came to travel.Prince from United Kingdom – 15 July 2024 (10/10)
Great location! Very central and convenient to walk to the places I wanted to see.
