Unitas Hotel is a small hotel at Bartolomějská 9 in the Old Town (Staré Město), Prague 1, in a building originally built by the Jesuits.

Location

Bartolomějská is a quiet street on the southern edge of the Old Town. Národní třída metro station on line B (yellow) and the Národní divadlo tram stop are each about 4 minutes on foot. Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and the Astronomical Clock are each under 10 minutes on foot, and Charles Bridge is about 600 metres away. Václav Havel Airport is roughly 40 minutes by car.

The property

The building dates from the early 18th century. It later served as a nunnery and, during the Communist period, housed the secret police; Václav Havel was held there. The Grey Sisters ran it as Pension Unitas until 2006, and it reopened as Unitas Hotel in 2007. Rooms have air conditioning, a minibar, a safe and a satellite TV, and Wi-Fi is free. There is a 24-hour front desk and a lobby bar, and breakfast is served each morning. Parking is in the rear courtyard.

People at reception were kind and friendly. Location was really good. Everything was clean. The room was comfortable and had everything you might need.

What could be improved: Just a detail: pillows were not so comfortable.
