TurnKey I Studio by City Mall

Prague, Czech Republic
26 Stroupežnického, Prague, 150 00, Czech Republic

Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “TurnKey I Studio by City Mall,” I was expecting some soulless corporate box. But honestly? This place surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away on Stroupežnického street, which is actually this quiet residential stretch that most tourists completely miss, and that’s kind of the point. You’re close enough to the action (I mean, you can easily walk to the city center) but far enough that you’re not dealing with drunk bachelor parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM.

The studio itself feels like someone actually thought about how people live, not just how hotels think people should live. The space flows really well – there’s this natural separation between the sleeping area and the little kitchenette that makes it feel bigger than it probably is. What I really appreciated was the attention to small stuff that matters when you’re actually staying somewhere for more than a night. The shower pressure is solid (you know how hit-or-miss that can be in Prague), and they’ve got these blackout curtains that actually work – crucial if you’re dealing with jet lag or just want to sleep in after exploring the city until late. The kitchen setup is simple but functional; I made coffee every morning and even cooked a few meals when I got tired of restaurant food.

Here’s what really sold me on the location though – you’re literally a few minutes from City Mall, which I know sounds touristy, but honestly it’s where locals shop too. There’s a great Tesco there if you need groceries, plus some decent restaurants that aren’t charging tourist prices. And the transport connections are actually fantastic from this area; the metro and tram lines get you anywhere you want to go without that exhausting walk through crowded Old Town streets every single time. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – you’ll see people walking their dogs, kids heading to school, that sort of authentic Prague life that you miss when you’re staying right in the historic center. The only minor thing is that the building doesn’t have an elevator, so if you’re on a higher floor with heavy luggage, well… consider it part of your Prague workout. But given that this place consistently gets ratings around 9.1, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks they’ve got the balance right between comfort, location, and that elusive thing where a place actually feels like a home base rather than just somewhere to crash.

To book a hotel in Prague during the famous Easter Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.
