Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Prague apartments, and the TurnKey I Downtown Studio on Příčná Street is honestly one of those places that just gets it right. The moment you walk in, there’s this sense that someone actually thought about how people live – not just where they sleep for a night. The studio setup is cleverly designed, and I mean really cleverly, with every square meter working double duty without feeling cramped or weird about it.

What really sold me on this place is the location, but not in that generic “convenient location” way everyone talks about. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, which sounds touristy until you realize that means you’re also steps away from some of the best late-night food spots and that amazing little wine bar on Vodičkova that locals actually frequent. The neighborhood has this perfect mix – you can grab your morning coffee with businesspeople heading to work, then spend your afternoon wandering the same streets tourists are discovering for the first time. And honestly? The noise level is surprisingly manageable for being so central. I expected way more street noise, but the windows are solid and Příčná itself isn’t a major thoroughfare.

The building feels authentically Prague without being stuck in some time warp – you know what I mean? There’s character in the architecture, but the actual amenities work like they should in 2024. Check-in was straightforward (no fumbling around with mysterious key lockboxes), and the whole space has this lived-in quality that makes you feel settled pretty much immediately. I particularly appreciated the kitchen setup because let’s be real, eating out for every meal in Prague adds up fast, and having the option to grab groceries from the Tesco down on Národní and actually cook something decent makes a huge difference. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully put together. Plus, and this might sound small but it matters, the WiFi actually works consistently, which isn’t always a given in these older Prague buildings.

  This was my 4th stay with Turnkey and it always goes perfectly. Check in is simple and customer service team are always available to help if needed. I will be staying again on future business trips.

  Location was very convenient and overall the property was quiet, clean and very well kept. Coffee and teas available in the kitchen. Host was responsive both via booking app and whatsapp when we have reached out to them. We asked to have toiletries filled up on the first day (bottles in the shower were a bit low) and housekeeper was sent the following day and replenished them.
  
  What could be improved: Minor issues:
  Although more than an email and PDF were provided with the instructions to how to enter the property, it was a bit confusing at first how to enter the code at the main entrance and how to use the room code. We worked out both relatevely quickly, but it can be a bit stressful if you arrive late in the evening/night and nobody is around to help.
  Host was responsive, however it did feel a bit unpersonal as no name was given when contacting them and it felt like every time we messaged them it was always someone different replying.
  We did contact them at arrival as the black (stylish) chair was broken and cushions were covering a piece of metal that was sticking out (a bit dangerous as the cushions were covering this). This was not repaired during our stay but no major impact on our stay.
  
  The real issue with the propery was the heatings.
  We contacted them at arrival as heatings weren't working on both living/sleeping area and bathroom (temperature was set at 22 degrees, but rooms temperature in thermostats were showing 18/19 depending on the room).
  On the first night they told us they set the heating remotely and to wait for the rooms to heat up. On the following day room temperature was still 18/19 and long short story, on our 3rd day, after we kept contacting them about the issue, we were told a portable heater was hidden behind a curtain in the room so we could use that. They never got back to us about reparing heatings so room was nice and cosy thanks to the portable heater but bathroom would still be chilly in the early morning and during the night (hope they will take care of this issue as winter is approaching).
  It's a shame, as we did like the place and found it very convenient and clean.

  Bliskość starówki, restauracji przystanku tramwajowego i metra. Ładny wystrój pokoju i dostępność udogodnień z opisu: wiatrak, toster, ręczniki etc. (oprócz żelazka które zostało wymienione na sprawne po 2óch dniach).
  
  What could be improved: Przez pierwsze 2 doby w kilkugodzinnych odstępach (między innymi w środku nocy) bardzo głośno pikał alarm przeciwpożarowy, zgłoszone to zostało od razu, ale do wymiany baterii trzeba było czekać trochę za długo. Podczas pobytu świętowaliśmy rocznicę, kiedy chcielismy wyprasować koszule i suknię okazało się że że żelazko jest uszkodzone i nie działa, co trochę rzuciło cień na świętowanie. Zostało wymienione ale dla nas już po tym jak go potrzebowaliśmy.
