You know what struck me first about the TurnKey Antonin Dvorak Apartments? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this subtle musical theme woven throughout that feels authentic rather than gimmicky. Located on Žitná Street in New Town, it’s one of those places that Prague locals would describe as “properly central” without being touristy. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, but the street itself has that lived-in Prague vibe where you’ll see office workers grabbing coffee and residents walking their dogs.

The apartments themselves have this really nice balance between old Prague character and modern functionality that honestly surprised me. The building has those beautiful high ceilings you expect in this part of the city, but someone clearly put thought into the renovations – the kitchens actually work (huge plus if you’ve stayed in other Prague apartments), and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes like it does in half the places around here. What I really appreciated was the soundproofing, because Žitná can get a bit busy during the day with trams and traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s genuinely quiet. The furnishings feel more like someone’s well-maintained apartment than hotel furniture – there’s personality to it without being cluttered.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the staff actually knows Prague. When I asked about getting to Vinohrady for dinner, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the tourist restaurants – he mentioned this little wine bar on Korunní that locals go to, and gave me the tram route that avoids the construction near the museum. That kind of local knowledge makes such a difference when you’re trying to experience Prague beyond the castle and the astronomical clock (though honestly, both are worth seeing if it’s your first time). The location works brilliantly for exploring different neighborhoods too – you can walk to Vinohrady in fifteen minutes, catch the metro to Lesser Town, or just wander down to the river when the weather’s nice. Check-in was smooth, parking… well, it’s Prague, so street parking is what it is, but they’ll point you toward the nearest garage if you’re driving. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted that sweet spot between having my own space and being right in the heart of things.

  Beautiful and comfortable apartment. Cozy blankets, comfortable furniture, nice large bathroom, great coffee machine. Some coffee, tea available on our arrival.
  
  What could be improved: It was difficult to manage all the emails from Booking.com and from TurnKey to find the ones with the necessary checkin information when we arrived.

  the room was great! it was very stylish, clean and had all the facilities needed. self-check in procedure was easy, the staff made it clear. location is great, near the train station and 15 minutes away from the city center, we had a great time

  The flat was small but very cosy with a tasteful interior design. All needed amenities in the kitchen and bathroom and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. The location was ideal, in very short walking distance of the river and old town but in a more relaxed area where local people live. A 10/10 from us!

  Beautiful apartments in very good location. Good facilities and spotlessly clean. Easy booking and check in with door code access. Very responsive and helpful hosts. The option to pay for late check out was really useful.
  
  What could be improved: The 3 bedroom apartment is not 3 separate bedrooms, with 1 bedroom being in the shared lounge kitchen area. This is clear on the hosts website but not on booking.com. There is a new apartment block being built adjacent to the property and so there is building noise during the day, again this is clear on the hosts website but not on booking.com. The wooden floors are beautiful but not very sound proofed and so you can hear the footsteps from the above apartment, which unfortunately kept us awake due to some very restless guests above us who appeared to be pacing all night. This was mentioned to the hosts who very kindly offered us an alternative apartment. The lift in our block wasn't working but was working in the other block so if you have mobility issues you may just want to check you are staying in the block with the more reliable lift.
