Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from TurnKey I Angelo Roma Apartments when I first rolled up to Rubešova street – the name had me thinking it might be some corporate chain thing, you know? But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into this quiet residential area in Prague’s Vinohrady district, and I mean quiet in a good way. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos of Old Town that you can actually sleep at night, but close enough that a quick tram ride gets you anywhere you want to be.

The apartments themselves feel like someone’s cool Prague cousin let you crash at their place. I stayed in one of their larger units and was honestly impressed – the kitchen actually had everything I needed (including a decent coffee maker, thank god), and the living space didn’t feel cramped like so many European apartments do. The design walks this nice line between modern and cozy, with these big windows that let in tons of light during the day. What really got me though was the attention to small details… like, they’d stocked proper hangers in the closet, had multiple phone chargers available, and the Wi-Fi was actually fast enough to video call home without wanting to throw my laptop out the window. The bathroom was spacious too – I could actually turn around without bumping into something, which is more rare than it should be in this city.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned if you want to experience Prague like someone who actually lives here rather than just hitting the main tourist spots. There’s this great little bakery about two blocks down that opens early and has the kind of pastries that make you understand why Czechs take their breakfast seriously. The nearest tram stop is maybe a three-minute walk, and from there you can get to Wenceslas Square in about ten minutes or the castle district in fifteen. I actually preferred staying here over the more central hotels I’d tried before – you get a real sense of neighborhood life, plus there are some fantastic restaurants nearby that most tourists never find. The staff was genuinely helpful too, not in that rehearsed hotel way, but like they actually wanted to make sure I had a good time. When I mentioned I was looking for a good traditional pub, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward some touristy beer hall – he drew me a little map to this local spot where I ended up having one of my best nights in the city. With an 8.9 rating, this place has clearly figured out how to make travelers feel at home without trying too hard about it.
