When I first walked into this place in Smichov, I honestly wasn’t expecting much – I mean, it’s right near the train tracks and you know how that usually goes. But here’s the thing: the location is actually brilliant once you figure it out. You’re literally a five-minute walk to Anděl metro station, which dumps you right into the heart of Prague in about ten minutes. And that 9.7 rating? Yeah, I get it now.

The apartment itself has this really thoughtful setup that someone clearly put actual effort into. The kitchen isn’t just some afterthought with a mini-fridge and hotplate – you can actually cook here if you want to save some crowns (and trust me, Prague restaurant prices add up fast). The bathroom’s properly sized too, not one of those coffin-style hotel bathrooms where you’re bumping your elbows every time you brush your teeth. What really surprised me was how quiet it stays at night. I was bracing for train noise, but the windows must be pretty decent because I slept fine. The bed’s comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete. You know what I really appreciated? The little details like having enough outlets near the bed for charging stuff, and actual hangers in the closet instead of those weird hotel ones you can’t remove.

Smichov gets overlooked by a lot of tourists, but honestly, that’s what makes it great. You’ve got real Prague life happening around you – there’s a solid grocery store (Albert) just down the street, and if you walk about ten minutes toward the river, you hit this stretch with some genuinely good restaurants that aren’t tourist traps. The whole area feels more authentic than staying right in Old Town where everything’s designed for Instagram. Plus, when you do want to hit the castle or Charles Bridge, the tram connections are simple and you’re not fighting crowds just to leave your hotel. I stayed here in September when Prague gets pretty busy, and coming back to Smichov each evening felt like escaping to where actual people live. The only tiny complaint – and I’m really reaching here – is that the check-in process involves meeting someone rather than just grabbing keys from a desk, so you need to coordinate timing a bit. But the host was flexible and spoke perfect English, so it worked out fine. For what you pay compared to central Prague hotels, especially with this much space and that rating, it’s honestly a no-brainer if you want to experience the city like someone who actually lives here.

  Brand-new tastfully decorated apartment in the great central neighbourhood of Prague, which means perfect transport connections or just walking to the sights, lively area with tons of restaurants, cafes, shops, services. The apartment has comfortable furniture, full kitchen, full bath and the parking underground (for additional fee but it's a good deal). The ventilation system gets you fresh air, the heating provides confortable room temperature. Washing and drying machines are perfect for longer stays. The windows greatly reduce the usual bustle of the city, so it is comfortable to stay in the middle of things:).
  
  There is a quiet inner courtyard if one feels like connecting to oneself.

  What could be improved: Would be great to add more plates so that one can have a breakfast and dinner without the need to wash up. Otherwise we really loved the apartment.

  Ne-a plăcut foarte mult apartamentul. Este curat, în bloc nou și are parcare subterană. Este foarte functional fiind dotat cu tot ce ai nevoie pentru un sejur scurt sau mai lung. Bucataria este foarte bine utilata și am putut sa ne gătim micul dejun.
  Zona este curata, cu multe mijloace de transport și foarte populata cu restaurante (recomandare: Smichovna si Le Camille) si magazine (Zabka, Lidl, Mall).
