THE MANES Boutique Hotel Prague Overview
You know what? I’ve walked past THE MANES probably fifty times over the years without really noticing it – which, honestly, is exactly what makes it so good. It sits quietly on Myslíkova, this understated four-story building that doesn’t scream “boutique hotel” from the street, but once you’re inside… well, it’s got this whole sophisticated thing going on that feels genuinely Prague rather than trying too hard to be European chic.
The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know the city a bit. You’re in New Town, which sounds touristy but isn’t really – it’s more like where Prague actually lives and breathes. Wenceslas Square is maybe a seven-minute walk, but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 2 AM (trust me on this one). What I really love is that you can walk to the river along Národní Street, hit up some of the better cafes that locals actually use, and still get to Old Town without feeling like you’re hiking across the city. The tram stops right there too, which is clutch if you want to get up to the castle without the uphill slog.
Inside, they’ve done something interesting – it feels boutique without being precious about it. The rooms have this warm, lived-in elegance, sort of like staying in a well-traveled friend’s apartment if your friend happened to have really good taste and unlimited funds. The bathrooms are properly modern (heated floors, which you’ll appreciate in winter), and the beds are… I mean, I’m picky about beds, and these work. What really got me was the attention to small stuff – decent coffee setup in the room, blackout curtains that actually block light, and outlets where you need them. You know how some boutique places sacrifice function for style? They didn’t do that here.
The staff runs things smoothly without hovering, which is harder to pull off than it sounds. Check-in was quick, they knew the neighborhood well enough to give actual recommendations rather than the standard tourist traps, and when I had an issue with the air conditioning (this was during that brutal heat wave last summer), someone was up to fix it within twenty minutes. That 9.6 rating makes sense – it’s the kind of place that just works without drama.
Look, Prague has plenty of hotels. You’ve got your grand old places on the main squares that cost a fortune, your hostels in converted Soviet-era buildings, and everything in between. But THE MANES hits this sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without the pretension or the price tag that usually comes with it. It’s boutique hospitality done right – polished but not stuffy, central but not chaotic, and honestly, the kind of place that makes you want to come back to Prague just to stay there again.

The room was exceptional and very spacious. The service from the staff and the welcome we received was probably the best I have ever had. The receptionist went above and beyond to not only welcome us but also told us the places to visit and the must see locations in Prague.
What could be improved: It would have been nice to have had a better bar at the hotel to relax and unwind before going ot bed.Kizner from Israel – 29 March 2025 (10/10)

Great boutique hotel in ideal location, about 10-15 mins walk from old town centre. We stayed in one of the duplex suites, which was ace. The staff are brilliant and the complementary drinks offer is a nice touch. We also used the private spa at the mosaic, which is great value and a lovely way to relax at end of the day.
What could be improved: Everything was tip topRichard from United States – 25 March 2025 (10/10)
Location can't be beat. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Room was very comfortable.
What could be improved: You have to step WAY up to get into and out of the shower. For most people not a problem but those who have leg issues (as I do) should be forewarned. And as in all Central European hotels. you have no choice but to sleep under a quilt. No sheets. So your choice can be between sweating and freezing. But that's true everywhere in that part of the world.Nichola from United Kingdom – 25 March 2025 (10/10)
Fabulous hotel, wonderful warm welcome from the team. Our junior suite was perfect in every way with every little detail thought through, absolutely faultless. Breakfast facilities excellent with a great choice of hot and cold delights.
