The marble in the bathrooms has these subtle green veins that remind you of the Vltava on a cloudy day, and the windows are tall enough that you actually get decent light even in winter (Prague can be pretty gray from November through March, so this matters more than you might think). I mean, the beds are ridiculously comfortable – that goes without saying at a 9.6-rated property – but what impressed me was how well they’ve soundproofed everything. You’d never know there’s tram traffic just a block away on Národní. The service hits that sweet spot where people remember your name and preferences without being hovering or fake-friendly about it. Check-in was smooth even when I arrived early on a busy Friday, and they somehow had my room ready anyway.

Here’s the thing about staying here versus some of the other luxury options in Prague: you’re not paying extra just to be in a tourist bubble.
