Teytz Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Teytz Apartments on Anežská Street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special. This four-star property sits right in the thick of Prague‘s Old Town — I mean, you literally can’t get more central than this. The building itself has that classic Prague charm, tucked into a quiet side street that somehow manages to feel peaceful despite being steps away from all the action.
Location That Actually Matters
Honestly, the location here is pretty incredible. You’re about a two-minute walk from Old Town Square, which sounds touristy until you realize how convenient it actually is for everything else. The Jewish Quarter is right around the corner, and you can easily walk to Charles Bridge without dealing with trams or metros. What I really appreciated was how couples seem to love this spot — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll through those cobblestone streets at night and be back to your place in minutes. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of local cafés and tourist spots, so you get the best of both worlds.
The Apartment Experience
These aren’t your typical hotel room — each apartment feels like you’re staying in someone’s well-designed Prague flat. The spaces are thoughtfully laid out with proper living areas, and most units come with a kitchen that’s actually functional (not just for show). I found the furnishings to be modern but respectful of the building’s character — you know, clean lines but still feels like Prague. The windows are well-insulated too, which matters when you’re this close to the city center and want to actually sleep at night.
Practical Comforts
What really sets this place apart is how they’ve thought through the details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night. The WiFi actually works well throughout the building, and there’s enough storage space that you can properly unpack. The bathrooms are modern and well-maintained — nothing fancy, but everything functions as it should. Since you’re in the Old Town, don’t expect parking right outside, but they can help arrange something nearby if you’re driving (though honestly, you won’t need a car here).
Why Guests Love It
The 9.1 rating really makes sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s that rare combination of being perfectly located without feeling like you’re in a tourist trap. Prague can be overwhelming with all its beauty and crowds, but having this quiet base where you can retreat and regroup makes all the difference. The staff seems to understand that guests want to feel independent but also supported — they’re there when you need them but don’t hover. For couples especially, there’s something special about having your own little Prague apartment to come home to after exploring the city all day.
Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

Everything: the location, the apartment itself, with everything we needed, the comfortable beds and especially Katerina who was more than nice and helpful and made us feel at home.

Perfect location, beautiful apartment and everything you need for a weekend away. – Greenie87 from United Kingdom – 14 April 2025 (9/10)
Great location, just far enough to have no nosie from Old Town Square but 5 minutes walk to the square with everything you need around you. Comfy beds and fully stocked kitchen. The house is beautifully renovated.
What could be improved: I had a squeaky bed and as a light sleeper didn't help me but it was super comfy and probably fine for someone who doesn't wake at the sound of their own breathing.Very good – Amelia from Australia – 28 January 2025 (8/10)
The bedrooms are big and spacey, great for a group of 4 friends
What could be improved: Shower was very small!Great accommodation – William from United Kingdom – 11 January 2025 (9/10)
The layout of the unit allowed for privacy for those in each bedroom.
What could be improved: The shower unit is a bit tight for the larger person.Great close-in location, quiet, with wonderful host – Cynmorgan from United States – 24 December 2024 (9/10)
Great location. Close to everything but on a quiet dead-end street. Clean. Had all amenities (except a washer). Host was terrific! Would highly recommend.
What could be improved: Would have loved access to a washer, otherwise, everything was terrific!Exceptional – Karen from United States – 24 December 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was a lovely refuge in the old city center. Comfortable, clean, spacious for a family of four. Would definitely choose to stay here again when we’re back in Prague.
What could be improved: Kitchen supplies were sparse but was ok since we didn’t cook.A lovely weekend stay – Claudia from South Africa – 16 December 2024 (10/10)
Loved the location of the apartment, close to all the markets but quiet enough at night. The apartment itself was very spacious. It looked exactly like the pictures. We loved our stay!
Beds were very comfy and apartment was very clean
What could be improved: An extra set of towels and maybe an extra mirror in the bedroom would have been niceAn excellent base to explore the sights of Prague. Clean, comfortable with a very responsive host. We had a fabulous sta – Pauline from United Kingdom – 2 December 2024 (10/10)
The location of this property is excellent. Walkable to all the main attractions yet in a quiet neighbourhood, with plenty of options for restaurants & bars close by.
Whilst the apartment is simply furnished & the bathroom & toilet a bit small for a party of 4, it is none the less very comfortable, clean & the host (Katerina) is very approachable & eager to help in any way she can. Nothing is too much trouble.Great location, great host – Jesus from Spain – 2 December 2024 (10/10)
