So I’ve stayed at Tesnov Residence Apartments a handful of times now, and honestly? It’s become my go-to when I need more space than a regular hotel room but don’t want to deal with the hassle of finding some random Airbnb. The building sits right on Těšnov street – which, if you know Prague at all, puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk to Old Town but far enough away that you’re not drowning in tourists every time you step outside.

The apartments themselves are actually proper apartments, not those weird hotel-apartment hybrids where nothing quite works right. I mean, you’ve got a real kitchen with a full-sized fridge (finally, somewhere to keep more than just minibar-priced water), and the living areas don’t feel like someone just shoved a couch into a hotel room as an afterthought. The furnishings are modern without being sterile – sort of that Scandinavian-meets-Central-European vibe that works really well. What really sold me though was the washing machine situation. Look, when you’re traveling for more than a few days, being able to do laundry without hunting down a laundromat or paying hotel prices is honestly a game-changer.

Location-wise, you’re maybe a 10-minute walk to Náměstí Republiky, which puts you right at the gateway to the historic center. But here’s what the booking sites don’t tell you – you’re also super close to Florenc, which is where all the buses and metro lines converge. So if you’re planning day trips outside Prague (and you should, Český Krumlov is incredible), you’re not schlepping across the city with your bags at 7 AM. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet in the evenings, though you’ll hear some tram noise during the day – nothing that kept me awake, but worth mentioning if you’re a super light sleeper. There’s a decent grocery store about three blocks away, plus this little Vietnamese place that does amazing pho if you get tired of goulash and beer (though, honestly, who gets tired of Czech beer?). The 8.1 rating seems about right – it’s solidly good without being fancy, and the staff actually seems to care about whether you find everything okay, which isn’t always a given in Prague hotels.

  The location is perfect, everything is within a walking distance. What is not, public transport is at the door.
  
  What could be improved: The small details in the apartment might need a quick maintenance/replacement. ie.: shower walls (leaking), shower tap (leaking), couple wall panels are damaged slightly, window shades damaged, microwave turning plate does not stay in place. But as I mentioned overall has a good value for its price with a perfect location.
