Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this place on Víta Nejedlého, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s tucked into this pretty typical Prague residential building, but that’s actually part of what makes Žižkov so great. You’re literally living like the locals do, and trust me, that’s way better than being stuck in some touristy bubble near Old Town.

The apartment itself really delivers on that “stylish” promise. I mean, someone clearly put thought into making this feel like an actual home rather than just another rental. The furniture isn’t trying too hard to be trendy, but it works – clean lines, decent lighting, and honestly better Wi-Fi than I get at home. What really sold me though was stepping out onto the street and realizing how perfectly positioned this place is. You’ve got the Žižkov Television Tower looming overhead (and yes, it’s as weird-looking up close as in all the photos), but more importantly, you’re a genuine 10-minute walk to Wenceslas Square without dealing with the chaos of staying right in the thick of things.

The neighborhood vibe is something you don’t get in the guidebooks. Žižkov has this reputation as the drinking district – which, fair enough, there are more pubs per square meter here than probably anywhere else in Prague – but it’s also where actual Praguers live and work. The morning coffee routine at the little café around the corner, watching people head to the metro, hearing conversations in Czech instead of English… it feels real in a way that staying near the castle just doesn’t. Plus, and this is key if you’re planning to explore, the tram connections are actually fantastic from here. Line 11 gets you pretty much anywhere you want to go, and the Náměstí Míru metro station is close enough that you’re never stranded. I spent one evening just wandering the residential streets behind the apartment and stumbled onto these amazing little courtyards and local bars that I would never have found otherwise. The noise level is totally manageable too – yes, it’s a city, so you’ll hear trams and the occasional late-night reveler, but nothing that decent windows can’t handle.

What really clinched it for me was the practical stuff working smoothly. Check-in was straightforward, the place was actually clean (not just Prague-rental clean), and having a proper kitchen meant I could grab groceries at the Tesco down the street instead of eating tourist food every meal. That 8.7 rating makes sense – it’s not luxury, but it’s thoughtfully done and the location genuinely delivers on letting you experience Prague like you live there, not just like you’re passing through.

  Čisté, velmi jednoduché zařízení apartmánu, ale nic nechybělo , dobré spojení do centra MHD. Nešly zavřít dveře mezi koupelnou s WC a ložnicí. Vhodné pro nenáročné cestovatele. Komunikace s pronajímatelem dobrá.
