You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name makes it sound like just another serviced apartment, but honestly, it feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place who happens to have really good taste. I mean, Gravity Prague clearly knows what they’re doing – this spot on Sokolovská pulls off that tricky balance of being stylish without trying too hard.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Prague at all. Sokolovská runs through Karlín, which used to be this industrial area that got completely transformed after the floods in 2002. Now it’s become this cool neighborhood where you’ll find locals grabbing coffee instead of just tourists snapping photos. You’re close enough to walk to the city center (maybe 20 minutes to Old Town if you don’t mind the stroll), but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the crowds and inflated prices right in the historic district. The tram connections are solid too – I actually preferred taking the tram into town because you get to see more of how the city really works.

What really sold me was the attention to detail that you don’t usually get at this price point. The free parking thing is huge – I cannot stress this enough if you’re driving in Prague. Most places in the center charge ridiculous amounts or you’re circling for ages looking for street parking. Here, you just pull up and you’re done. The cinema setup is legit too, not some tiny TV they’re calling a cinema. Perfect for those nights when you’ve walked your feet off and just want to decompress. The apartment itself has this clean, minimalist vibe but it’s warm, not sterile. Good lighting (why do so many places get this wrong?), comfortable furniture that’s actually meant for sitting, not just looking good in photos. The kitchen is properly equipped if you want to hit up the local markets – there’s a great one at Náměstí Míru that’s worth the short trip.

I’ll be honest, the 9.8 rating had me a bit skeptical at first because those numbers can be misleading, but after staying here, I get it. It’s those little things that add up – the check-in was smooth, the wifi actually worked everywhere in the apartment, hot water pressure was solid, and the beds were comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been sleeping on a board. The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings but not obnoxiously loud, and mornings are pretty peaceful. If you’re someone who likes to experience Prague more like a local than a tourist – grabbing dinner at neighborhood spots, taking your coffee to go, actually using public transport – this place positions you perfectly for that kind of trip.

  Nice, new modern apartment. High quality sheets on the bed. Apartment is really nice but it lioks much bigger on the pictures.

  The apartment was spacious and clean. The facilities were ideal for a few nights on a business trip. Having windows on opposite sides of the apartment meant there was a good through-breeze.

  Bardzo wygodne, dobrze wyposażone mieszkanie. Położone w malowniczej okolicy, blisko sklepów i miłych restauracji. Do Forum Karlin tylko 5 minut spacerkiem, zaś do Mostu Karola i Starówki jakieś 30. Plusem jest miejsce w garażu podziemnym. Kolejną zaletą jest bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem.

  What could be improved: Pomerne zložitá komunikácia v angličtine k prebratiu kľúčov od apartmánu a zaparkovaniu. Ak človek nemá smart telefón s prístupom na internet môže mať problém s ubytovaním.

  Skvělá lokalita, parkování v ceně, hezké vybavení, káva a čaj v ceně. Za mě dobrý je self check in a self check out. V okolí je sousta restaurací, barů a pivnic. Pár kroků od ubytování je stanice metra.
  
  What could be improved: Vyjet z garáže byl trochu oříšek, protože se dveře výtahu nemohly zavřít (pořád se otevíraly a zavíraly a nedovřely). Pomohlo mírně rozhoupat auto, aby se dveře výtahu dovřely.
  Postel podle mě byla trochu menší, než bych čekal, ale nebylo to nijak omezující.

  Die Unterkunft war perfekt. Sehr modern, gut schallisoliert und ausgerüstet. Die online CheckIn Anweisungen klar und gut dokumentiert. Der Parkplatz ist ein schöner Bonus, wenn man mit dem Auto anreist. Die Gegend ist toll, ein neues aufstrebendes Quartier. Die Lage des Apartments, mit 2 Tram Linien ( Haltestelle vor der Haustür) und Metro Station in 3 min Gehdistanz ist sehr praktisch um alle Winkel von Prag zu erreichen. Mit dem Tram etwas Sighseeing machen oder mit Metro schnell von hier nach da zu gelangen. In unmittelbarer Nähe des Apartments gibt es einige gute Restaurants, also man muss am Abend nicht unbedigt weit gehen um gut zu essen. Im Winter sicher ein Vorteil.
  
  What could be improved: Ein kleiner Punkt, den man verbessern könnte, Eine Wandhalterung für die Handbrause, damit man sich unter die Dusche stellen kann und nicht nur sich abduschen.
