Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this Studio Apartment in Tower Petrin, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The building sits right on Újezd street, and you know what? That’s actually perfect because you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Petřín Hill funicular. I mean, most tourists don’t realize how lucky that location is until they’re huffing it up those steep cobblestone streets from other parts of Lesser Town.
The studio itself is… well, it’s exactly what it says on the tin. Nothing fancy, but everything works, and honestly, that’s more than I can say for some of the pricier places I’ve stayed in Prague. The space feels bigger than you’d think – probably because whoever designed it actually understood how to use a small footprint intelligently. There’s this nice natural light that comes in during the morning (the building faces east), and I actually found myself drinking coffee by the window watching locals head to work. The kitchen setup is totally functional if you’re planning to grab groceries from that Tesco just down the street, though let’s be real – with all the incredible food around here, you probably won’t cook much.
What really sold me on this place was the neighborhood vibe. Újezd has this perfect mix where you’ve got proper local spots (there’s this amazing traditional pub called U Fleku nearby that tourists somehow miss) but you’re still close enough to the action. The 12, 20, and 22 trams stop right outside, which means you can get to Old Town in maybe fifteen minutes without dealing with the crowds on Charles Bridge every single time. Plus, and this is key – it’s actually quiet at night. I was worried about street noise, but Prague’s not like other European capitals where you’ve got people stumbling around until 3 AM on residential streets.
The building itself is typical Prague – you know, that solid construction from decades ago that just feels substantial. Check-in was straightforward, no weird key pickup locations across town or anything like that. The rating of 8.3 feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was doing one of those longer Prague trips where you want to feel less like a tourist and more like you’re actually living somewhere for a week or two.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Prague at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals and outdoor concerts.

Location
What could be improved: Shower was leaking into the bottom floor. Got an angry neighbour have a go at meFabulous location, comfortable and good value – Shona from United Kingdom – 16 April 2025 (8/10)
Basic but very pleasant apartment in an absolutely fantastic location in the heart of Malá Strana. We loved being so close to key attractions and fantastic restaurants (namely U Modre Kachnicky and Bistrot Monk 2). The bed was comfier than we expected and the apartment was equipped with all the amenities we could have needed for our three-night stay, including a decent shower and hairdryer. We also didn't mind collecting the keys from the Old Town on arrival as transport connections took us to the heart of the Old Town from the airport anyway, then it only took us about 25 minutes to walk over to the apartment, which proved a nice chance to see some of the city on foot shortly after arriving (especially walking over Charles Bridge). We checked in after-hours and it was all very straightforward. Overall, would highly recommend for a comfortable budget option in an excellent location.
Good value for price. – Martina from Croatia – 9 December 2023 (7/10)
Location was very good, close to all attractions. It was nice, comfortable and warm in appartment when outside was -13 degrees and snow.
What could be improved: TV wasn't working and handwritten instructions how to use it weren't correct. We expected better hygiene. Kettle was dirty and cups next to bed dusty.Exceptional – Mohamed from Czech Republic – 6 August 2024 (10/10)
Perfect
What could be improved: NothingWould not recommend – Elliott from Australia – 25 July 2024 (4/10)
Apartment is fine. Nothing to write home about though.
What could be improved: Check in process was ridiculous. You have to collect keys from an office across town which can not be accessed by car so you have to walk with your luggage. Staff did not respond so I was waiting on the street with my luggage for 40 mins in the heat. Tried to call a number provided several times – no answer and no return call. I thought the whole process was hard and the accommodation was not worth the money. The location made up for the tiny. Tired furnishings – Anne from Australia – 14 June 2025 (5/10)
Fabulous Location
What could be improved: The box bed did not suit a couple as you had to climb over each other to get out of bedPassable – Sara from Croatia – 21 July 2023 (5/10)
Location is perfect.
What could be improved: The place is far more worn down than I expected. Walls need cleaning and a fresh paint.Key pick-up was an adventure. Apartment was ok. – Monika from Germany – 14 September 2022 (5/10)
Location of apartment is good, however the "bed" was a couch with a topper. Very uncomfortable, The apartment itself was quiet, but tiny. Fridge, bathroom and windows were fine.
What could be improved: Once we arrived in the inner city for the key pick-up, there was no key in the safe and it took us 3 phone calls to reach someone. Aferwards it was another trip of 10 minutes to the location. Besides the key pick-up, the apartment was fine. The accommodation made my holidays unpleasant – Reza from Finland – 27 September 2022 (2/10)
Location was good. Also the fact that I had access to excessive towels and bedsheets was good.
What could be improved: As a frequent traveller, I have to admit this comment is making me uncomfortable; since it’s the first time that I am rating a property less than 8. Nevertheless, I believe it is my duty to be honest toward future travellers.
I stayed 6 nights (Aug 2022) in this flat. From the pictures, I had got the impression that I would be staying in a recently renovated and modern flat. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it; especially bathroom. Entering the flat was like an immediate slap to my face.
There are many downsides from which I write the ones that made my stay extremely uneasy.
Mold:
Bathroom walls and floor are renovated; though the smell of mold is extremely strong. I had to keep the bathroom door and flat windows open all the time so that the flat would be liveable (I can guess some people might not have as sensitive nose as I do, still I believe it has to be mentioned). For the reference, one can see the picture of bathroom curtain, which is white at the top, but the rest of the curtain is orange because of the mold. From the property picture it is clear that original color of the curtain has been fully white from top to bottom.
Too weary:
Shower holder bar was rusty and could not be adjusted. As a result, having water on the bathroom floor is inevitable every time that one takes a shower; no matter how hard one tries.
Everything in the flat seems rather old and weary. For example the washing machine added small dark stains to my white clothes (probably to all my clothes, but white ones were easily visible).
Key pick up:
The property info reads that check in is possible 2pm-00:00 (midnight). What it does NOT read is that key pick up point is 20 min walking distance (1.6 km) in old town. It might be fun for a backpacker to wander around in narrow streets of old town to find the spot and then continue to the flat. However, I had 2 big bags (not easy on cobblestones streets of old town); I had to take a taxi from key pick up point to the property.Ottimo – Ilaria from Italy – 13 December 2024 (9/10)
Ci ritornerei volentieri.
What could be improved: Sistemerei le tende della doccia per non far uscire l'acqua..
