STAGES HOTEL Prague, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel Overview
You know what caught me off guard about STAGES Hotel? It’s tucked away on Ceskomoravska, which honestly sounds intimidating if you don’t know Prague, but it’s actually this perfect sweet spot in Karlín – close enough to everything without being right in the tourist chaos of Old Town. I mean, you can walk to Wenceslas Square in about 20 minutes, but you’re staying in what feels like a real neighborhood where actual Czechs live and work.
The building itself has this industrial-chic thing going on that could’ve gone totally wrong, but they nailed it. There’s exposed brick and steel beams, but it doesn’t feel cold or pretentious – more like someone took a warehouse and turned it into the kind of place you’d want to hang out even if you weren’t staying there. The lobby smells faintly of coffee and has this buzz of people actually working on laptops (not just posing with them), and honestly, the 9.4 rating makes sense the minute you walk in. Check-in was smooth – no hovering over you with upsells, just friendly efficiency from staff who seem to genuinely like their jobs.
What really sold me was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The rooms have proper blackout curtains (crucial if you’re jet-lagged), and the AC actually works – which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many European hotels mess this up. The neighborhood’s quiet at night, but during the day there’s this gentle hum of city life that feels authentically Prague. You’ve got the Karlín market just a few blocks away where vendors sell proper Czech produce, and there’s a great little pub called Lokál Karlín nearby that serves some of the best goulash I’ve had outside my Czech friend’s grandmother’s kitchen. The hotel’s restaurant is solid too, but honestly, with options like that within walking distance, why limit yourself? Parking’s available if you’re driving, though I’d skip the car entirely – the tram connections are excellent, and there’s something satisfying about navigating Prague’s public transport like a local. This place gets busy during festival season and around Christmas markets time, so book ahead if you’re visiting then, but even when it’s full, it never feels cramped or rushed.

Reviews of STAGES HOTEL Prague, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel
Min from China – 21 January 2025 (10/10)
The style of the hotel is highly unique in terms of the decoration and room design. I have the best view from the entire window. The restaurant is also very good for breakfasts and dinners. The music in the hotel is fascinating.

Really extraordinary with comfy beds, clean rooms, the best breakfast I have ever had in hotels, perfect location and a nice bar. Highly recommended.
What could be improved: The check-in staff impersonal in my opinion, too fast, brief info.Pavel from Czech Republic – 29 March 2025 (9/10)
Spacious stylish rooms, very clean, delicious breakfast.
What could be improved: The extra bed in the 3-bedroom was very uncomfortable and narrow, it was basically a convertible armchair.Balázs from Slovakia – 25 March 2025 (9/10)
I really liked the shape of the building, it really matches to their style, being next to O2 univerzum and O2 arena, the Stages hotel does resemble a multi-layered vinyl 🙂 The location is superb, tram stop, bus stop and even metro station are within a couple of minutes' reach.
What could be improved: 2 small things really:
– I was missing the ventillation in the bathroom, during a shower it got very steamy very fast.
– Breakfast: there were some things I was missing, plus the place where you could slice bread, only 1 person at a time could do it and we were at least always 6-7-8 people waiting in line just for this.Miks from Latvia – 25 March 2025 (10/10)
Super stylish and new hotel. One of the best i have been.
Levy from Poland – 24 March 2025 (10/10)

Excellent facilities and good breakfast. Booked because it is very close to O2 Arena but quite some way from the centre if that's your need. Would highly recommend
