Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to 45 Legerova, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s one of those classic Prague buildings that looks pretty standard until you get inside, and then you’re like, oh okay, this actually works. The apartments here really live up to that “spacious” part of the name, which is something you can’t take for granted in Prague’s city center where some places advertise a closet as a studio.
What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between being right in the thick of things but not having trams rattling your windows at 6 AM. Legerova puts you maybe a 12-minute walk from Wenceslas Square – close enough that you’re not dealing with metro transfers every time you want decent coffee, but far enough that you’re not surrounded by tourist traps charging 8 euros for mediocre goulash. The Vinohrady district starts just around the corner, and honestly, that’s where the good restaurants are anyway. There’s this little wine bar called Vinárna U Fleku about ten minutes away that locals actually go to, not just people following Rick Steves guides.
The apartments themselves feel like someone actually lives in them, you know? Not that sterile hotel vibe where everything’s beige and bolted down. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star place so don’t expect marble countertops, but the kitchens are properly equipped – like, you can actually cook real meals if you want to save money or you’re just tired of eating out every night. The Wi-Fi works well (tested it on multiple video calls), and the heating is solid, which matters more than you’d think during Prague winters. One thing to note – if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage, check if your specific unit has an elevator. Some of the apartments are on higher floors in buildings where you’ll be hauling suitcases up traditional European staircases. Not a dealbreaker, just something to ask about when you book.
The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming the exact pickup location ahead of time since it’s not always obvious which entrance to use. Parking can be tricky around here – street parking exists but fills up fast, and honestly, you don’t really need a car anyway. The metro connections are solid, and walking around this part of Prague is actually one of the better ways to stumble onto those little details that make the city special. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer trip where having actual living space and a kitchen would matter.
