Sir Prague, part of Sircle Collection Overview
You know what struck me first about Sir Prague? It’s tucked away on Náplavní street right along the Vltava riverbank, which means you’re literally steps from those floating bars and summer markets that locals actually hang out at – not just tourist traps. I mean, most hotels stick you somewhere “central” but boring. This one’s got personality.
The building itself has this interesting industrial-meets-boutique vibe going on. It’s part of the Sircle Collection, and honestly, you can tell they put thought into the details without going overboard. The lobby feels like somewhere you’d actually want to sit with a coffee, not rush through to get to your room. Check-in was smooth – no weird upselling or pushy concierge stuff. The staff seemed to know their neighborhood well, which is rarer than you’d think in Prague where so many places hire people who’ve never ventured beyond Wenceslas Square.
What I really appreciated was the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re close enough to walk to Old Town (maybe 15 minutes if you’re not dawdling), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the chaos of drunk bachelor parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The riverside location means morning walks are actually pleasant – you can follow the water toward Kampa Island or just grab coffee at one of those little stands near the embankment. Parking’s manageable too, which… well, if you’ve tried to park anywhere near Prague Castle, you know that’s not nothing.
The rooms are well-designed without being sterile. Good blackout curtains (seriously underrated when you’re dealing with those long summer days), decent soundproofing, and the beds are actually comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete. Bathrooms are modern but not trying too hard to be Instagram-worthy. Air conditioning works properly, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up.
What sets this place apart is really the neighborhood access. You’re right by the farmers market area, walking distance to some excellent restaurants that aren’t on every tourist blog (yet), and the river path is perfect for morning runs if that’s your thing. The 9.3 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you a genuinely local feel.
For the price point, especially compared to hotels in the more obvious areas, it delivers solid value. You get the Prague experience without feeling like you’re trapped in a tourist bubble, and honestly, that’s harder to find than you’d think.

What an incredible find! Sir Prague Hotel, within walking distance to the National Theatre and the Old Town landmarks, with views of the iconic Dancing House and the Vltava River. The historic building has incredibly stylish interiors inspired by the Czech Cubism. The wood central staircase is stunning and the bathroom’s tiling are unforgettable. The unique furniture pieces, the esoteric and surrealist art pieces on the walls, vintage crystals and modernist china, all these curated details are just gorgeous and made me feel very special. My room – very comfortable king bed- had a very calming feeling, thanks to the colour palette and the design of the soft furnishings, the lighting and the complimentary amenities in the room. The hotel staff is also very attentive and I was welcomed and pampered, surrounded by beauty . I think the hotel masterfully combines design sophistication with stylish modern comfort! I definitely recommend this hotel to those who appreciate high-end design without pretentiousness, and are looking for a comfortable stay beyond the ordinary, either for work or vacation.
