Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Seven days Smíchov, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical hotel setup. It’s actually an apartment-style accommodation on the 5th floor of a residential building, which honestly makes it feel more like staying at a friend’s place than a standard hotel. The four-star property sits in one of Prague‘s most authentic neighborhoods, and I mean that in the best way possible — you’re living like a local here, not just passing through as a tourist.

The Smíchov Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location: Smíchov is where actual Prague residents live and work, so you get this genuine neighborhood vibe that’s hard to find in the touristy center. You’re close enough to hop on the metro and be at Prague Castle or Old Town Square in minutes, but when you come home at night, you’re not fighting crowds of other travelers. The area has great local pubs and restaurants that most visitors never discover, plus there’s a massive shopping center nearby if you need anything practical.

The Space Itself

The room setup is what really sets this place apart — it’s more like having your own Prague pied-à-terre than a hotel stay. You get a proper kitchen (which is honestly a game-changer for longer stays), and the whole space feels thoughtfully designed rather than just functional. The fact that it’s on the 5th floor means you get decent views, and the building itself is quiet enough that you’ll actually sleep well. I was surprised by how much natural light comes in during the day.

Practical Perks

One thing that immediately caught my attention — free parking right on site. If you’ve ever tried to park in Prague’s city center, you know this is basically like finding gold. The building is well-maintained, and while you’ll need to take the elevator up to the 5th floor, everything feels secure and well-organized. The whole setup works particularly well for couples (apparently they rate the location 8.6 out of 10, which honestly doesn’t surprise me at all).

Why Guests Love It

What really makes Seven days Smíchov work is that perfect balance between being connected to Prague’s energy while having your own peaceful retreat. You’re not paying premium prices for a fancy lobby you’ll barely use — instead, you’re getting practical amenities and a genuine neighborhood experience. The 9.1 rating speaks for itself, but what I think guests really appreciate is feeling like they’ve discovered something authentic rather than just booking another generic hotel. It’s the kind of place where you can grocery shop at the local market, cook breakfast in your own space, then walk out and explore one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.

Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

Comfortable apartment even for longer stays

Stayed there for two weeks. The apartment offers enough space, the equipment is good. Large bed, kitchen, clean bathroom with washer/dryer. And a parking lot in the basement. 10 minutes tramride to get groceries, mini market just around the corner. Fast Wifi connection.

Convinced stay

The apartment was lovely and quite spacious. It has a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a washer/ dryer, which were is very handy. The parking space was another major plus. The location was convenient, with a short 10-minute walk to supermarkets and approximately 45 minutes to reach the Old Town, making it a practical base for exploring the area.

The main downside of our experience was the process of picking up the keys. Since the keys had to be collected in the Old Town during peak traffic hours, it almost added an extra hour to our journey, which was quite inconvenient.

Nice stay in Prague

Calm and warm flat.

What could be improved: Light above the kitchen was not working
