Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Seven Days Smíchov? It’s tucked away on Pod Barvířkou street – and I mean really tucked away, in what’s basically a residential building on the fifth floor. When I first arrived, I’ll be honest, I thought I’d made a booking mistake. The address shows “Byt č. 503” which literally means apartment 503, and that’s exactly what it is. But here’s the thing – sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t look like hotels at all.
The location is actually brilliant once you get your bearings. Smíchov isn’t the touristy Prague 1 area everyone talks about, but that’s precisely why it works. You’re still close enough to walk to the castle (maybe 20 minutes if you’re feeling energetic), but you get to see how actual Praguers live. There’s a tram stop nearby that’ll get you to Wenceslas Square in about 15 minutes, and honestly, after a day of fighting crowds around the Astronomical Clock, coming back to this quiet residential street feels like a relief. The building itself is typical Prague – those thick walls mean you barely hear your neighbors, which is more than I can say for some of the “boutique” places I’ve stayed in Old Town.
What really surprised me was how well-thought-out everything is inside. I mean, whoever runs this place clearly gets what travelers actually need – proper blackout curtains (trust me, Prague summers have crazy long daylight), decent WiFi that actually works, and a kitchen setup that’s not just for show. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you realize it’s not trying to be something it’s not. It’s clean, comfortable, and the kind of place where you can spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living in a shoebox. The woman who handled my check-in was super helpful about restaurant recommendations too – pointed me toward this little hospoda around the corner that I never would have found otherwise. Sure, you won’t get room service or a concierge desk, but you will get a genuine Prague experience without the tourist markup. For a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight, especially if you’re the type of traveler who values location and authenticity over lobby marble and tiny bottles of shampoo.
Early hotels booking in Prague is essential during major events like the Prague Spring Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city’s renowned classical music scene and Gothic architecture.

Comfortable apartment even for longer stays – Dirk from Germany – 11 June 2025 (10/10)
Stayed there for two weeks. The apartment offers enough space, the equipment is good. Large bed, kitchen, clean bathroom with washer/dryer. And a parking lot in the basement. 10 minutes tramride to get groceries, mini market just around the corner. Fast Wifi connection.
Convinced stay – Sonja from Australia – 14 April 2025 (9/10)
The apartment was lovely and quite spacious. It has a fully equipped kitchen, as well as a washer/ dryer, which were is very handy. The parking space was another major plus. The location was convenient, with a short 10-minute walk to supermarkets and approximately 45 minutes to reach the Old Town, making it a practical base for exploring the area.
The main downside of our experience was the process of picking up the keys. Since the keys had to be collected in the Old Town during peak traffic hours, it almost added an extra hour to our journey, which was quite inconvenient.Nice stay in Prague – Pascal from Switzerland – 31 December 2024 (8/10)
Calm and warm flat.
What could be improved: Light above the kitchen was not workingExceptional – Agnieszka from Poland – 5 August 2024 (10/10)
The apartment is very comfortable, it has a large sofa bed, so 3 people can easily stay there. Well-equipped kitchenette. The apartment has a washing machine, iron, hair dryer and a very good fan, which completely replaces air conditioning. On the other hand, the apartment has a very good location, a few steps to the tram stop of line 7 and 12 minutes to the Andel metro station. It is located near the metro station, also there are numerous restaurants, bars, shops nearby. Parking included in the price of the room – car exit by elevator.
What could be improved: The downside is the lack of a large mirror, and there was only one wine glass. I suppose the owners could invest in a key box with a code – collecting keys in the city center can be troublesome.Great stay – Sophie from United Kingdom – 19 July 2024 (10/10)
Apartment was great, clean and modern. Comfortable. Great parking. Walkable to the city but also easy on public transport.
Different key pick-up location – Andreea from Romania – 27 May 2024 (9/10)
New and modern apartment
What could be improved: Keys needed to be picked up from another location and due to rush hour, we lost 1 hour in traffic in order to get to the apartment afterwardsAbsolutely great – Martin from Estonia – 14 February 2024 (10/10)
Everything was perfect
Very good – Norbert from Romania – 8 January 2024 (8/10)
cozy place grate deal for the price. Very good location for traveling by car. They have a great parking spot
What could be improved: little noisy during the day on the floor but was nothing to care about at night.Good location for visiting Prague – Alexandru-eusebiu from Romania – 13 November 2023 (9/10)
Modern looking building, free underground parking, cozy and silent place, great utilities, nice location near city center.
Overall great experience.
What could be improved: We had to check in and pick up property keys from a hotel that was about 3.5km away.Exceptional – Veaceslav from Moldova – 16 August 2023 (10/10)
Comfortable, clean, nice place. Not far from the downtown. Stores are in a walking distance. Parking lot.
What could be improved: The keys need to be picked up from a different place (hotel) in the downtown area, which is about 15-20 minutes driving from the apartment. Although there is a parking lot across the hotel that is free for the period of 15 min.
