Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Prague, and the Royal Square View Residence on Vinohradská really surprised me – in the best way possible. When you first walk up to number 60, it doesn’t scream “fancy hotel” from the outside, which honestly made me wonder what I’d gotten myself into. But then you step inside and there’s this immediate sense of… I don’t know, refined comfort? It’s got that European elegance thing down without being stuffy about it.

The location is actually brilliant if you know Prague at all. Vinohradská is this main artery that gets you pretty much anywhere you want to go, but you’re far enough from the tourist chaos of Old Town that you can actually sleep at night. I mean, yes, it’s a busy street during the day, but the rooms are well-insulated – I barely heard the trams rumbling by. What I loved is that you’re a quick tram ride to Wenceslas Square, but you’re also walking distance to some of those great local pubs in Vinohrady that most tourists never find. There’s this little wine bar about three blocks away that the concierge mentioned – totally worth the detour.

The rooms themselves feel more like staying in a well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel. Everything’s thoughtfully designed without being over-the-top, and honestly, the beds are fantastic. I’m someone who usually tosses and turns in hotel beds, but I slept like a rock here. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right – when I had trouble with the shower pressure (minor issue, really), someone was up to fix it within twenty minutes. Check-in was smooth, no weirdness with holding deposits or anything like that. The breakfast spread isn’t huge, but what they do have is quality stuff, and they actually know how to make proper coffee, which… you’d be surprised how many places get that wrong.

You know what really sold me on this place? It’s those little touches that show someone’s actually thinking about the guest experience. Fresh flowers in the lobby that aren’t fake, decent Wi-Fi that works throughout the building, and they’ve got this small business center setup that’s actually useful if you need to print boarding passes or whatever. The clientele tends to be business travelers and couples rather than bachelor parties, so the vibe stays pretty civilized. If you’re planning to visit during spring or early fall, definitely book ahead – Prague gets packed, and places like this that offer real value fill up fast. It’s not the cheapest option in the city, but for what you get – the location, the service, the quality of everything – it’s honestly a steal.
