Hotel Description

So I’ve stayed at the Royal Court Legerova a few times now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets Prague right. You know what I mean? It sits right on Legerova street – and before you worry about pronouncing it, just point at your phone when you’re talking to taxi drivers – which puts you in this sweet spot between Wenceslas Square and the more residential Vinohrady district. Most tourists miss this area completely, which is actually perfect for you.

The building itself has that sturdy Central European feel, nothing flashy but solid in a way that makes you feel like you’re really in Prague, not just some international hotel bubble. Check-in was surprisingly smooth when I was there in June (though I’ve heard August can be a bit chaotic with all the festival crowds). The lobby’s got this lived-in elegance – think polished wood and burgundy accents rather than marble and gold. What really sold me, though, was stepping out the front door and realizing I could walk to the National Museum in about eight minutes, or hop on the metro at Muzeum station without dealing with the tourist chaos around the Old Town Square.

The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid three-star – clean, comfortable beds that don’t creak when you roll over, and bathrooms that actually have decent water pressure. I mean, after a day of walking on those cobblestones, that shower hits different. The windows are properly soundproofed too, which matters because Legerova can get busy during rush hour. One thing I really appreciated was the little details – good reading lights (seriously, why don’t more hotels get this right?), enough outlets for your devices, and blackout curtains that actually block the light from those bright Prague street lamps. The wi-fi works everywhere, even in the elevator, which is more than I can say for some fancier places I’ve stayed.

What makes this place special, though, is the neighborhood. You’re a five-minute walk from some genuinely great local spots that most guidebooks don’t mention – there’s this little wine bar called Vinárna U Fleku just around the corner where locals actually hang out, and a bakery on Anglická street that does these incredible koláče pastries. The tourist information center is literally next door, but you probably won’t need it because you’re close enough to everything that matters. Wenceslas Square is right there when you want the energy and crowds, but you can escape back to Legerova when you need to breathe.

Look, it’s not going to wow you with luxury amenities or Instagram-worthy design, but that 8.8 rating isn’t an accident. It’s the kind of place where everything just works, the staff knows the neighborhood well enough to give you actual directions (not just “turn left at the big building”), and you’ll sleep well without spending your entire Prague budget on accommodation. Plus, you’ll probably discover parts of the city that feel more real than the postcard-perfect center – which, honestly, is why you came to Prague in the first place, right?

The concierge service in Prague can arrange exclusive tours of Prague Castle, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize personalized visits to Charles Bridge and the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Reviews

  • Excellent, would definitely recommend – Zoe from United Kingdom – 30 June 2025 (9/10)

Clean and spacious, all staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent coffee shop on site (great breakfast) and a 5-10 minute walk to the centre

  • Nice stay in Prague – Michael from Slovakia – 8 April 2025 (8/10)

Great place to stay in the center of Prague with responsive staff available 24/7. Metro station nearby. However we got a different room then chosen via Booking. Also we had to deposit 100€ in case of issues without prior to stay notice.

  • Superb – Jakubcelechovsky from Slovakia – 21 February 2025 (9/10)

Very comfy, quiet and clean apartment with all amenities you will need for your stay. Bed was comfy, however bit low. Residence is located only few minutes from metro (subway) station I.P.Pavlova and is easy to find. Staff is very friendly and helpful. You can enjoy tasty breakfast and coffee directly next to the residence in Coffee Factory (10% discount for guests). Our apartment was for very reasonable price regarding distance to city center and connection to public transport. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here.

What could be improved: Owner offers you a parking spot close to the residence, however the entrance to garage is quite narrow (we had Skoda Octavia) so you will probably not be able to use this service with wider car – just to be aware of this.

  • Excellent location, close to everything and lovely accommodation. – Brooke from United Kingdom – 12 February 2025 (10/10)

The properly was clean and lovely, staff were brilliant!

  • Comfortable and friendly central location hotel – Raluca-alexandra from Romania – 19 December 2024 (10/10)

The staff was very nice, accommodating and helped us with some advice for sightseeing. The room was spacious, very clean and had all the basic amenities. The hotel is located within 15 mins walk from the main train station and overall in a central location.

  • Excellent – Sheff182 from United Kingdom – 8 December 2024 (9/10)

Excellent apartment room with lots of space. Smart TV with Netflix and Youtube. Kitchenette, dining table and sofa beds in the main living room. We had a cot provided for our baby.
Tram is a short walk away. A good cafe next door and a good bar to have an evening drink in across the road. Lots of fast food and take aways near by

What could be improved: Even though the windows were double glazed, the traffic from the road below was quite loud.

  • Great stay! – Rachel from United Kingdom – 16 November 2024 (10/10)

The staff were lovely and upgraded us as it was my partners birthday. The room was beautiful and spotless, and the location was perfect for exploring. Lots of good places for breakfast and a supermarket nearby.

  • Great location, clean, huge rooms – Sagi from Israel – 4 November 2024 (10/10)

    Huge rooms.
Huge tub, enough to fit me (1.90, 100kg)

What could be improved: The message that if I want more towels they'll charge me 5 euros.
    (unless I misunderstood the message)

  • Exceptional – Betty from Taiwan – 29 October 2024 (10/10)

Everything is perfect. The location is near elevation of I.P. Pavlova Subway Station, and many tram stop. There are many restaurant, ex. Starbucks, KFC, PAUL, yammy kebeb, etc. The kitchen equipment is all we need. The room is large and comfortable. The staff are very nice and friendly. Thank you so much. We'll choose this hotel again when we come back to Prague.

  • Exceptional – Özgür from Turkey – 21 October 2024 (10/10)

The location of this facility, which is within walking distance to most places in Prague, is quite ideal. Although it is on the main street, it was quite calm and quiet. The room we stayed in was quite large, comfortable, clean and family-friendly. The kitchen area of the room had its own stove, kettle and everything you could need in a kitchen. All the staff were warm, kind, attentive and helpful during our 4 nights stay. In addition to all this, the price/performance ratio is perfect. We will choose this hotel again without hesitation on our next visit to Prague. Thank you. So much.

What could be improved: Everything was excellent.
