Riverside Palace Apartments Overview

You know what surprised me most about Riverside Palace Apartments? It’s actually not right on the river – I mean, the name’s a bit misleading there – but honestly, that works in your favor. You’re tucked away on Resslova, which is this quieter street that runs parallel to the Vltava, so you get all the benefits of being near the water without the tourist crowds camping outside your front door at 6 AM taking selfies.

The building itself has this solid, understated elegance that feels very Prague – none of that flashy glass-and-chrome stuff you see in some newer hotels. When I walked in, the lobby had this warm, lived-in feeling, like someone’s well-appointed apartment rather than a sterile hotel chain. The staff actually remembers your name after day two, which is refreshing. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend arriving after 3 PM because they seem to be doing room prep right up until then.

What really sold me on this place was the apartment setup – and I mean proper apartments, not those cramped hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner that they try to pass off as a “kitchenette.” You get actual counter space, a real stove, and enough room to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase for a week. The beds are properly firm (thank god), and the windows are double-glazed, so even though you’re in the city center, it’s surprisingly quiet at night. I was there in late spring when Prague gets pretty busy, and I could barely hear the trams rumbling by on Národní street just a few blocks over.

Location-wise, you’re golden. Five minutes walk to the National Theatre – and I mean an actual easy five minutes, not that “five minutes” hotels always claim that turns into a fifteen-minute hike. Wenceslas Square is right there, but more importantly, you’re close to some of the better local spots that tourists usually miss. There’s this little wine bar called Vinárna U Fleku about three streets over that locals actually go to, and you can walk to the lesser-known parts of the Old Town without fighting through the crowds around the Astronomical Clock.

The only minor thing – and this is really minor – is that the elevators are a bit slow, especially during morning rush when everyone’s heading out. But honestly, I started taking the stairs after day one anyway (good for working off all that goulash). Parking can be tricky if you’re driving, but that’s just Prague for you. Most people are using public transport anyway, and the Národní třída metro station is literally around the corner.

With a 9.3 rating, you’d expect it to be solid, and it delivers on that promise without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place where everything just works – the wifi doesn’t cut out during video calls, the shower has proper water pressure, and the cleaning staff doesn’t barge in at 7 AM. Sometimes that’s all you really need from a place to make a trip memorable for the right reasons.

Reviews of Riverside Palace Apartments

  • Olga from Ukraine – 24 February 2025 (10/10)

The apartments are clean and equipped with everything you need. Supermarkets are within walking distance, the center is a 15-20 minute walk away.

  • Shaarif from United Kingdom – 25 March 2025 (10/10)

Spacious and very well designed, and a stone’s throw away from the historic old town, we felt the location suited us perfectly as it wasn’t right in the heart of the chaos.

  • Justin from United Kingdom – 18 March 2025 (9/10)

Location is great, and within walking distance of everything we wanted to visit, but also all public transport links. Apartment is spacious and comfortable.

  • Thanh from Germany – 8 March 2025 (9/10)

I loved the clean and beautiful apartment! It made me feel at home which made my stay in Prague comfortable. The rooms were extremely clean and due to the big windows, we had warm sunlight coming in. Public transport is nearby as well as supermarkets.

What could be improved: We had a few difficulties with the check-in since the information wasn’t sent to us automatically on the day of arrival as they said in the message before which is why we had to ask again. Furthermore the check-in instructions for the keypad-lock were slightly confusing however the team was available all the time and able to help us. Also the doorknob to the bedroom was constantly falling out every time someone pulled on the handle which needs to be fixed.

  • Pawel from United Kingdom – 17 February 2025 (10/10)

Very good location close to the centre, nice clean apartment

What could be improved: No parking space

  • Sandy from United Kingdom – 29 March 2025 (7/10)

Great location. Lively big apartment. Comfortable beds.

What could be improved: TV in the lounge did not have remote control.
The shower didn't drain, so the foot well flooded.
The kitchen didn't have a toaster, and the oven has no baking trays.

  • Marga from Spain – 29 March 2025 (10/10)

La limpieza y la ubicación espectacular .
Lo que menos el colchón del sofá cama muy finito y la luz del piso de arriba . Una bombilla encima del espejo de la escalera sería estupendo

  • Yuriy from Ukraine – 28 March 2025 (10/10)

    Отличное расположение и чистота.

  • Oscar from Spain – 27 March 2025 (10/10)

La comunicación con la propiedad fué excepcional. El apartamento está muy bien amueblado, todo nuevo con todo lo que puedas necesitas. Está a 5 minutos de una boca de metro y a 2 minutos del tranvía.
    Te sientes como en casa.

What could be improved: No hay nada que me disgustara.
