Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about the River Deluxe Suite? It’s actually right there on Janáčkovo nábřeží, which means you’re literally steps from the Vltava – I mean, you can hear the gentle lapping of water from some rooms, and honestly, that’s the kind of detail that makes Prague feel less touristy and more… well, livable. The building itself has that classic Prague charm without trying too hard, if that makes sense. It’s a solid 4-star place with a 7.8 rating, which I’d say is pretty fair – not trying to be the fanciest hotel in town, but definitely knows what it’s doing.

The location is what really sells this place, though. You’re in Smíchov, which locals will tell you is way more chill than staying right in Old Town where you’ll be dodging tour groups at 7 AM. From here, you can actually walk to Petřin Hill in about ten minutes – and I mean the good entrance, not the crowded one everyone uses. The tram stop is right there too, so getting to Wenceslas Square or the castle district is super easy. Parking can be a bit tricky around here (honestly, it’s Prague, so that’s expected), but the hotel staff actually knows the area well enough to point you toward the less obvious spots that won’t cost you a fortune.

What I really appreciated was how the suites feel spacious without being sterile – there’s this nice balance of modern amenities and character that a lot of renovated Prague hotels struggle with. The soundproofing is decent, which matters because you’re near a main road, though the river-facing rooms are obviously quieter. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the front desk folks speak excellent English, which isn’t always a given at mid-range places here. I’d say if you’re looking for something that feels authentically Prague without the Old Town chaos or the boutique hotel prices, this hits that sweet spot. The neighborhood comes alive in the evenings too – there are some really good local pubs within walking distance that you won’t find in any guidebook, and the morning coffee scene along the embankment is honestly one of Prague’s best-kept secrets.

  The host was very nice in arranging to receive us very late after our flight was delayed to arrive. The apartment is very spacious and clean and includes all basic services.
  
  What could be improved: The description and the address on booking.com are of a location that is along side the river. But the property is in a completely different side of the block away from the river on a different address, very deceiving . The WiFi quality was very bad, spotty, and slow. if you are going to depend on the WiFi for your trip look elsewhere. The property description implies the apartment includes its own parking, but this is completely incorrect. The host explained that parking was on the street a couple of blocks away. The property does not have its own parking.

  The apartment is clean and the kitchen is fully equipped. It has two spacious bathrooms. It is close to the river and a shopping mall. It is located on a lively street.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment has only one room and not three bedrooms as mentioned in Booking. The ground floor has a large hall divided into two sections with two separate beds. There is no free parking outside the building as also mentioned in Booking. Which made me look for a faraway parking space that cost me more than 30 euros per day. The rent is expensive for the services provided by the apartment. The Wi-Fi network is unstable.

  The apartment is nice, well equipped, in a good location.
  
  What could be improved: The staff is horrible: while it is claimed that there is 24/7 front desk, none of that exists.
  We informed in advance that our flight is delayed and we were assured that a staff member will be at the location to hand us the keys.
  We arrived at 2 O'clock in the morning and had to wait 45 minutes in the cold street to get the keys.
  Moreover, during our stay the staff member who got our enquiries through WhatsApp read them and ignored them.
  One of the beds was broken, but it was ignored by the staff.
  I never experienced such a horrible attitude from staff in a holiday apartment 😕 .

  Очень хороший номер, просторный, с большим количеством спальных мест. Полностью оборудованная кухня, отличные кровати, приятные и отзывчивые сотрудники, которые всегда на связи. Отличные санузлы. Все чисто и аккуратно. Очень хорошее расположение.
  
  Кроме того, обслуживающий персонал очень компетентен и умеет быстро и хорошо решать возникающие проблемы: несмотря на неожиданно для всех (как для нас, так и для персонала) возникшие неудобства с заселением, проблема была решена так что мы остались очень довольны и наш отдых прошел отлично.
  
  What could be improved: скорость WiFi средненькая. Непонятно насчет парковки. В описании указано что общественная парковка поблизости бесплатная, но в округе нет ни одной бесплатной общественной парковки.
