Residence Seven Angels Overview
So I stumbled across Residence Seven Angels while wandering around Prague’s Old Town, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets it right without trying too hard. The building sits on Jilská Street – which, if you know Prague at all, puts you right in the thick of things but on one of those quieter cobblestone lanes that tourists usually walk past without noticing. You’re literally a two-minute stroll from Old Town Square, but you won’t have crowds of people taking selfies right outside your window at 7 AM.
The place has this authentic Prague vibe that a lot of the bigger hotels completely miss. I mean, you can tell they’ve kept the historical character intact – those thick stone walls and arched doorways that make you feel like you’re staying in actual medieval Prague, not some sanitized version of it. The rooms aren’t huge (this is a 14th-century building, after all), but they’re thoughtfully designed with enough modern touches that you’re not roughing it. Actually, the bathrooms are surprisingly well done – good water pressure, which anyone who’s traveled through Central Europe knows isn’t always a given. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night, despite being so central. Those old walls are thick, and Jilská doesn’t get the late-night foot traffic that some of the main tourist drags do.
The staff actually knows the neighborhood – not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to grab proper goulash that locals eat, or which tram line gets you to the castle without the tourist markup restaurants along the way. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprises with city taxes or random fees, and they helped me figure out parking (there’s a garage about three blocks away, which is honestly as good as it gets in that part of Prague). You know what I really appreciated? They had these little local maps with handwritten notes about which cafes open early and where to find decent coffee that isn’t €5 a cup. Small thing, but it shows they actually think about what travelers need. The 8.1 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be a luxury palace, but for a 3-star place in that location, it delivers exactly what you want. If you’re the type who needs a gym and room service until midnight, look elsewhere, but if you want to actually experience Prague from a base that feels authentic and isn’t tourist-trapped, this works really well.

Reviews of Residence Seven Angels
Quite good apart from nuisance behaviour of other occupants in the area – Novelita from United Kingdom – 21 July 2025 (8/10)
Situated near on most of the attractions within walking distance.
What could be improved: There was a group that was loud & noisy in early morning hours around 0030-0200, with woman shouting & men talking loudly at the courtyard of Room 1 & 10. Also with lights on & off & their doors banging every now & then. They were not English speaking origins thus could not interpret what was going on. Felt vulnerable at the time it happened thus kept awake & double checked front door was locked.Superb – Máiréad from United Kingdom – 19 July 2025 (9/10)
Size of room, beautiful courtyard and so quiet which was so welcomed. Facilities excellent.
What could be improved: No reception, I was a bit confused and had not had WiFi all day to receive messages so not the hosts fault.Very good – Eliana from United States – 5 July 2025 (8/10)
Fantastic location and incredibly easy and flexible check in!
What could be improved: There was no air conditioning and the one fan was not enough to keep both rooms cool in July. Also the rooms are not as ornate as they look in the photos. There was no dish soap or sponges to wash the few dishes provided.Perfect spot right in the midst of everything – Nastasia from Germany – 3 July 2025 (7/10)
Very comfortable bed, amazing location, beautiful courtyard. The housekeeping were really lovely.
What could be improved: Unfortunately there was nowhere to put our bags before checking in and when checking out. It was 34 degrees outside and we had to carry our bags with us on both days (we arrived in Prague early and left late).Good, comfortable stay. A little pricey, but very convenient location. – Atf from Bangladesh – 30 June 2025 (8/10)
1. The location is perfect in the Old Town.
2. Room and bathroom were nice.
What could be improved: 1. Had a poor experience on the final day – the cleaner entered the room while I was still there well before the check-out time. Needs to be careful regarding these things.
2. The door is very easy to miss as the sign is very small – I missed the entrance multiple times.Amazing stay! – Meri from Armenia – 22 May 2025 (9/10)
The property’s location was amazing! Super close to the Old town square as well as very close to the Charles bridge. So I can call it top location especially for the price that we paid! It was also very clean and with a good smell! The instructions to self check in were also super clear!
What could be improved: Everything was amazing! I want to mention that the price you are paying and staying right in the center of the Old Town it doesn’t worth to pay attention to the style of the apartment as soon as it’s clean, in the great location and with cheap price!Very good – Mariana from Ukraine – 15 May 2025 (8/10)
Location top. Apartments top. View top
What could be improved: PricePrague is amazing and this accommodation is ideally sited to see it. – Mark from United Kingdom – 12 May 2025 (8/10)
It was clean, conveniently located, secure and the when we asked for a room clean we got one. Really hot water, loads of towels, super large and comfortable bed, no noise despite being on a shopping street.
What could be improved: No plug in the sink and the one from the bath doesn’t fit. Some cosmetic issues but nothing to get excited about. Maybe an iron as people are travelling? But overall no complaints really, would stay again.Superb – Roger from Austria – 12 April 2025 (9/10)
Everything great overall!! But the blankets could be bigger.
Superb – Pavla from Czech Republic – 1 April 2025 (9/10)
romantic house, spacious apartment, excellent location, stillness
