Residence Hattrick Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Residence Hattrick, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical tourist hotel. It’s tucked into a residential area of Prague that feels refreshingly authentic — you know, the kind of neighborhood where locals actually live and work. The building itself has that understated Czech charm, and honestly, I appreciated how it doesn’t try too hard to impress. This three-star property knows exactly what it is, and there’s something reassuring about that kind of confidence.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I really love about staying here — you’re in Vinohrady, which means you get to experience Prague like someone who actually lives there. The metro connections are solid (Želivského station is your friend), but more importantly, you’re surrounded by genuine Czech cafés and local shops. Couples seem to get this location particularly well — I mean, there’s something romantic about wandering tree-lined streets that aren’t packed with tour groups. The area has this lived-in quality that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary resident.

Room and Comfort

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run residence — clean, functional, and surprisingly spacious for Prague standards. What struck me was how thoughtfully everything was arranged; there’s clearly someone behind the scenes who understands what travelers actually need. The beds are comfortable (not amazing, but definitely good), and the bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t be cursing outdated fixtures. It’s the kind of place where you can spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, which — let’s be honest — is pretty valuable in a city where hotel rooms can feel like shoeboxes.

Practical Perks

Two things really stood out during my stay. First, they’ve got parking right on site, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Prague’s parking situation will tell you is basically gold. Second, the breakfast setup is actually worth getting up for — they do both continental and buffet options, and the quality is better than you’d expect. I’m not talking life-changing pastries here, but it’s fresh, there’s variety, and you can fuel up properly before heading out to explore. Sometimes it’s these practical touches that make or break a stay.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to Residence Hattrick isn’t any single wow factor — it’s how everything just works smoothly. You’re getting solid value without any unpleasant surprises, and that 8.5 rating reflects exactly that kind of reliability. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing, the location gives you the best of both worlds (local flavor plus easy city access), and you’ll sleep well without breaking your budget. It’s the kind of place you’d confidently recommend to friends, especially if they want to experience Prague beyond the tourist bubble.

To book a hotel in Prague during the famous Easter Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.

Reviews of Residence Hattrick

  • Very pleasant stay with fantastic breakfast and convenient location – Jakub from Poland – 3 June 2025 (10/10)

The room was clean, spacious and interestingly furnished, all the amenities were provided. The check-in and check-out was convenient, the staff was nice and the breakfast was great – with a wide plethora of breads and toppings, teas, milk and cornflakes and even yoghurt. The location is really well connected with the historical centre of Prague. It’s quiet and pleasant.

What could be improved: Towels weren’t changed during a three-night stay, but it might have been stated somewhere and i might’ve missed it. Be sure not to throw them on the ground (despite a sticker that says to do so if you want them changed). Not a huge issue.

  • Exceptional – Diana from Romania – 28 April 2025 (10/10)

Everything was great thus we have already booked another week in June. The instructions provided for the self check in were absolutely great- we followed every step and we accessed the apartment without any issue, big thank you for this:) The apartment was very clean. It is very close to the city center.: 20 min away using public transportation. I look forward to coming back in June! Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant one!

  • Warm friendly atmosphere, excellent location, great place to stay for a visit to Prague! – Andreas from Germany – 27 October 2023 (10/10)

The whole Pension Hattrick and the rooms are really nicely decorated with alot of care and originality. The hostess is really friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and we found the standard very good. We were impressed, that we did not just have a room, but it was like a little appartment with a hallway, separate bathroom, and a kitchenette in the room with a fridge, a stove to cook, and a kitchen sink besides the water cooker. There were also some plates and cutlery and basic kitchen utenils. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The The location is really quiet and the neighborhood feels friendly. We were able to park our car on the premises off the street, which was a great plus. You can get to the city center within 20 minutes by tram, bus and metro, connection is good. We were impressed with the public transportation app of the city of Prague and would recommend using that. We would definitely book Pension Hattrick again for our next trip to Prague! Highly recommed.

What could be improved: Can't really say we did not like something.

Everything was so good that we will with love to come back again! Beautiful, stylishly decorated rooms, extremely clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, parking and extremely friendly boss Iva…

What could be improved: If something is not right, we talk to each other and solve every situation without any problem.
